While I fully believe in stuff like this, I think it only works for you if you are open and accepting of the fact that whatever you find out has truth to it. Does that make sense? It's like hypnosis...you can't be hypnotized if you're skeptical, however, if you let go of your inhibitions and think it can be achieved, you can be hypnotized. Same with stuff like tarot cards and palmreading, etc. in my opinion.

A psychic isn't going to know your personal secrets. Usually the predictions are so vague that it could be anything like for example, you will have an accident this year. Tarot Cards are really only a guide to finding out what is in your subconscious. The psychic will interpret the cards and you will make the connection in your head. I don't believe that tarot cards predict the future. They can show obstacles in your path and the outcome if you stay on that path, however you can change it. Personally, i think horoscopes are only good for personality traits and that is it. Anyhow, it might be worth the trip to satisfy your curiousity. The psychic will probably talk about your personality, but she won't know your personal secrets.

I really don't believe in that stuff. Especially Horoscopes. I'm cancer, and I am nothing like what my sign should be like. I'm not introverted, shy, or moody. I'm much more like a Leo. As for psychics...well I think some people do have a gift for that kind of stuff, but most of them are just shams trying to make an easy buck.

I dont believe a horoscope.. simply because its never true. Tho i read it every day in the newspaper, just to know what they think will happen, but i cant remember it ever came true.

You really have to be careful who you go to...do some checking up on them before you actually make an appointment and such.
My grandma lost her husband [my grandpa] last December and he was really intrigued by psychcic powers and whatnot. He died from complications with many surgeries to remove cancer from his throat and tongue. My gram always told him that he needed to keep in contact after he passed so she would know that he was still there. So one day this past summer, my gram was cleaning the living room and she decided to sit down and watch TV for a little while. She's not one to watch TV, other than the Discovery Channel at times, so she thought this impulse was a strage one. So she turned the TV on and immediately flipped to FOX, a channel she never watched on a normal basis and it just so happened that Crossing Over with John Edwards was on at that moment and he was saying, "it was because of too much radiation right here..." as he pointed to his neck and more importantly, motioned around his corotid artery...my grandpa's corotid artery had ruptured, causing him to loose large ammounts of blood and ultimately caused him to pass away. And you have to know, that my grandma was never one to believe in the notion of psychic powers, but since my grandpa did so much and she thought this little happening here was too strange to be conincidence. She called the John Edwards show and got numbers of local pyschics to call. She had a few of them come over to the house and they told her things, specific things, about what had happened between her and my grandpa in the week preceeding his death. Things that were said, things they talked about, things they did. It's really strange to think about. And she did get these numbers from a relaiable source, I mean, if you believe in John Edward's psychic powers then the source was reliable and whatnot, ya know?
Anywho, I just thought I would share that story as I find it a little fascinating and cool |
