I chose the Night and Weekends. Also, the phone cost me $29.95 and I get a $30 mail in rebate. Activation fee is only $30 and you don't pay that until your first months bill. The phone I got is a really cool Nokia phone, I love it It's got that nifty polyphonic sound, it kicks ass! | That sounds like a really good deal... But what's the range of their calling area? 500 anytime mins is great, but only 1000 m-t-m or n/w? I'd go over the latter every month haha
I hear T-Mobile's a good one too..? But..I dunno, I havent really checked out their plans |

And obviously, unless everyone you knew had the same provider, it would be smarter and more cost effective to go with the unlimited nights and weekends, which is what I chose. The only person I know with US cellular is my dad and I don't plan on calling him on his cellphone when he's right in the other room.
As for calling area, I believe I have all of Iowa and Illinois, but I'm not sure...I'll have to look at my papers again. |

I might go out of town for the weekend but then I'm usually with anyone who I would call and yeah, that wasn't a huge issue for me. I do get free long distance though, as long as I call from my home area. Which is cool because now I can call my friends who went away to school this year. |

Btw I appreciate all of your input | MY home calling area is Iowa/Illinois area I believe. It depends on where you set the servie up. If I set mine up to be based out of CHicago, my home calling area would be different. And, if you would have yours based out of Chicago, it would still be free londistance to call your mom in Ohio because you would be calling from your home calling area, or the area that your phone is based out of. Does that make sense? Bah, I'm tired! *lol* Sorry if I'm just rambling. YW for the advice I must get to bed now though if I plan on getting up in time for class tomorrow....argh.
Later girls. |

| Goodnight! I'm gonna have to look into that U.S. Cellular thing...
Mandy, I think you and your mom should get Sprint, cuz then you could talk to each other whenever for free, if you get PCS-to-PCS calling. Plus, they're having that phone deal.. The Samsung one, right? <33 I want that phone..
I think I'm gonna go to the Sprint store tomorrow and try to upgrade mine or somethin.. |

Later girls. | LMAO this is cracking me up partly because I'm tired and partly because I'm making it more complicated than it really is.
I'ma check out the U.S. Cellular stuff for sure. But so far, I think Sprint is my best bet. It's just since they have that deal with 2 phones...yeah. It seems like their stuff is the best I can get for my money...I think. |

| Well, I know everyone is dissing Verizon and all that, but one of my best friends has Sprint and she hates it. I have Verizon, I've had it since April, and my brother and father have it too, and we really don't have problems with it.
I pay around $35-$40 a month for my bill, and I get 400 peak airtime minutes (6AM-9PM), unlimited nights (9PM-6AM) and weekends, and 1,000 mobile-to-mobile (Verizon to Verizon calls) minutes. It really isn't all that bad. |
