I was just watching LAST CALL with CARSON DALY on E! and Sheryl Crow was his guest...and of course he brings up some of her recent comments about how she is displeased with the state of music (namely Pop music)...she went on to clarify that she does not like the fact that music is all about marketing and that the young female popstars (Britney, Christina, etc.) have built their career on selling sex...
He was agreeing with her and he made it seem that it's ok for women who write their own songs and who have established themselves in the business to use sex appeal...he also elluded to the fact that he has more respect for artists that write their own music (which is understandable)...but if he is supposed to be Britney's friend...he sure doesn't hesitate to bring her up to get a reaction out of his guests or to partake in a joke at her expense...(like he did with Jeneane Garafalo)...he also seems to use his show as a means to vent his frustrations over the fact that he has to deal with all of these "popstars" on a daily basis...as if it's somehow beneath him and that he's really aligned with the "reputable" musicians...I just wish someone would remind him that
they made him...
he didn't make them...as he seems to believe...
To make a long post even longer...Let it go on record that I think he's a complete hypocrite, a poor excuse for a friend, and a first class asshole...
