Backstreet Boy Nick Carter was arrested in Tampa, Fla., for refusing to follow police officers' orders to leave a nightclub after a fight broke out. The youngest of the five-member group at age 21, Carter was charged yesterday (Jan. 2) with a misdemeanor count of resisting/opposing a law enforcement officer without violence. He was handcuffed, placed in a squad car and released on his own recognizance. His first court appearance is set for March 4, a Tampa Police spokesperson said

The woman, who spoke on the condition that her name not be published, told TSG she was standing close to Carter when police asked him to leave. She gave this account of his subsequent bust:
"The cops arrested him, put him in handcuffs, and then put him in the police car. Nick wasn't belligerent, but he started balling. He said, 'You just want to arrest a Backstreet Boy. I've never been arrested. I don't know what to do!' He was crying hard. Tears were streaming down his face. People were laughing at him. The cops were chuckling."
The woman added that as Carter--whom she described as an acquaintance--sat in the police cruiser, she approached the weepy Backstreet Boy and asked him why he was crying. He answered, "It's okay to cry," she recalled.

Oh well, I couldve said a lot worse. and he is an idiot, crying cuz he got arrested and the fact he was stupid not to leave the club after he was asked to and then cry cause they arrested him...its his own fault | |
