Not in the last 10 years or so, lol - alright I must be going way off track then because I was only having a guess as to how they work...

I was basically trying to sum the total circumferences of circles with a radius ranging from 3 inches to 6 inches with 1/20 of an inch radius incremement... not correct then?

The needle of a record player moves only 3 inches, from the outside edge to the inside, right before the unused edge.

But that would be how far relative to where it started from - not the actual distance it travelled.

The distance it travels and how far it would be relative to where it started will be 3 inches. Because the needle moves only three inches from out to in.
