I'm not a big reader, but all the books I read, I enjoy

LOTR: amazing saga, has all the elements a fantasy book requires. Most fantastic book I ever read (and I know I'm not alone in this thought!)

Stephen King: best horror there is IMO (not that I'm an expert in the horror book section - horror movie section on the contrary ....).

Tom Clancy: great novels time after time. Action, good story, great background info, always realistic with a lot of research done. Good movie and game versions made from some of his books. Jack Ryan and John Clark are legendary characters!

I'm reading White Oleander right now, and its pretty great, although I must confess I saw the movie before the book, but quite by accident, as I didn't realize there was a book. I'm a strong beleiver in 'read the book, don't see the movie'.

A LONG time ago, I read a book called The Unicorn Chronicles.

IMO, it was one of my favorite books. It was so good. I think I read it at least 5 different times.

Of course any Stephen King book is just great. I'm a big fan of anything horror. So Stephen King is a no brainer.

The only book SERIES that I have ever read and actually loved is the FEARLESS series. About a girl named Gaia who was born without the fear gene and yeah, it's just really good.

Oh, also any Anne Rice book. Mostly Interview with a Vampire over and over and over again.

A series of films based on books by the children's author Judy Blume are to be turned into Disney movies

Blume, whose best-sellers include Are You There God?, It's Me Margaret and Forever, signed the multi-picture deal with her son Lawrence, a film-maker.

Blume's books for teenagers have sold over 75m copies around the world and been translated into 26 languages.

The first book to be adapted will be Deenie, about a teenage girl's struggle against her parents' choices for her.

The deal marks the second high-profile series of books Disney has signed up in the past fortnight, having recently bought the rights to CS Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia.

"The name Judy Blume is synonymous with great young adult literature," said Nina Jacobson, president of Disney's Buena Vista Motion Pictures Group.

"Everyone discovers her books in fifth grade and grows up with her - she strikes a chord with humour and heart while never preaching."
