So if anyone is interesting in reading it note that the sex scenes are very detailed and it has homosexuality in it as well so if you get offended over those things then don't read it. |
lmfao, I picked up the first one, because I adore Anne Rice and I loved Sleeping Beauty, I just assumed it would be a different retelling of the fairy tale with maybe some witches/vampires thrown in or something. GOOD GOD was I shocked, there is some explicit stuff in there. I think those books can safely be called erotica. I am kind of curious to see what happens in the next two, but I'm too embarrassed to buy them now that I know what they are |

| I finished alot of books. I read Syrup by Max Barry, awesome awesome book. Then The Chocolate War by Robert Cormeir, was was good as well. I am now reading it's sequel. In class we read Lord of the Flies, which I hated. And the Oedipus trilogy which was entertaining. Next semester we plan on reading A Tale of Two Cities, Yay! I love Dickens. |

| Well, Im havig some serious delays in my reading, I paused Hitchhickers Guide because The Trhuth about Diamonds jus arrived and since its a lot shorter than the first one I decided to read it quickly...and im bout half of it and it not Pulizzter Material but its quite good.
Today I got C.S. Lewis's first volume of the Narnia series so I gues I'll read that one too before I resume my intergalactical novel hehe.

| I'm finally getting into reading.
Last week, a coworker told me about this really interesting book she read, and I ended up buying it on Friday night, and I haven't been able to put it down. I've tried several times to get into reading, but I end up losing interest about 100 pages in. This time, forget it... I'm just sailing through it, only stopping when I'm pulled away by a more pressing matter.
The book is called "From The Corner Of His Eye" and it's by Dean Koontz. It's a really exciting book. I'm not too far in (I'm not a very fast reader) but already so much has happened.
I guess the best way to describe it is that it's following the life of a Sociopath who spontaneously murders his wife while he's so deeply in love with her for no apparent reason, and that's sort of intermingled with two other stories, one about a pregnant woman who gets in a car accident, and the other about young girl who was raped and becomes pregnant.
I didn't spoiler tag those because, like I said, I'm not very far into the book, so I'm not exactly giving away the story. This all happens in the introduction sequences, basically.
There seems to be a connection between each of the stories, but I'm not far enough into the story to figure out exactly how. But, pick it up, because it seems to be very promising. |

| Probably a bit late on this one...
Went to see King Kong at the weekend (yawn!) and saw the trailer for Stormbreaker and remembered that I meant to read one of the Alex Rider books.
Bought Stormbreaker and loved it - I'm addicted! Then I went out to get the second and third books Point Blanc & Skeleton Key. I loved Alex's gadgets in PB espcially the Chamber of Secrets book! And there were a few funny bits as well!! Started Skeleton Key today and will probably get the next 3 at the weekend. Bring on book 7 and the film (don't think the film is out till July *sniff* )

| I finished "From The Corner Of His Eye" last week, and I have to say, it is an amazing story. Honestly, read it. You won't be sorry.
If you've ever pondered quantum physics or thought about parallel dimensions, etc. it's a good read.
Right now, I'm reading a book called "The Right Hand of Evil" by John Saul. It's alright. It's not nearly as good as 'Corner Of His Eye', but then, this story has more of an introduction and takes longer to get into it. Sure hits home a little bit, though. |

| Right now on my own I'm reading 'Watership Down' by Richard Adams. It is such a good book. I just thought it would be ok, but wow.
In school we're reading A Tale of Two Cities which is also so super fantastic!
I just got the new Max Barry book yesterday called 'Company' and I hope to start it soon. |

| I've just read Sylvia Plath - The Bell Jar and it is a fascinating story. I am doing the big final project in senior year on her life, the book and some of her poems. So if anyone have anything to say about it, let me know.
We just started reading Harold Pinter in english though, because he won the nobelprize last year of something. He've appereantly wrote some amazingly funny plays. |
