Ok, remember last months cover had a beautiful Britney pic on the cover? Well that was the last issue Christina Kelly was the editor for.
She had to resign because she wanted to bring to YM the same principles that made the now defunct magazines Sassy, Girl and JUMP popular.She wanted to break the zit-cream-and-diet-of-the-month mold, and it seems like this will just never be possible at a mainstream commercial publication.
Axel Ganz (Gruner & Jahr honcho) describing Kelly's YM as ''hostile to advertisers'' or something like that.
The newest issue has Jennifer garner on the cover, and the editors letter has no mention of the replacement of Christina with no warning to the magazines readers. The new editorial staff is excited to get reader response on how good the issue with the new editor is so they can prove how "bad" Christina was for the magazine. If you liked Christina and what she was doing at YM, let the current editorial team at YM know. They want your response after all. Letters@ym.com

Oh I loved YM. I never really read it that much anymore, but thats because I read older things like Time, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitian, etc. I hate when teen magazines only want to put in like "lose 10 pounds fast". Young girls shouldn't be concerned with that kind of thing.
