Cuz someone send me seomthing that when i clicked on it i guess it installed it, and i got rid of it and nothing is happening to my computer, but whenever i restart at the end of the restart it just says like C;/Projax, anyone know how to get rid of that?

NEVER NEVER NEVER run programs OR attachments in e-mails unless you are SURE you know EXACTLY what they are/do, EVEN if it is from a friend.


You might have to reformat and reinstall everything.

And another worm that works with a proven concept: the fact that ppl accept files blindly and double click them. This virus is spreading per DCC send, and will use a name from the list I will put in the comments page on this post (click the "want to react on this news" link below).

On execution it will overwrite the mIRC ini file, and the notepad, cdplayer, telnet, defrag, winfile, welcome and pbrush programs from the windows directory. Finally, the autoexec.bat will be overwritten, and your desktop will have a lovely new shortcut to a jpg file; projax.jpg.

After all this has happened, the maker of this worm will present you with a message in a dos window:
"[ProJax V0.4][ZeroGravity] You infected yourself with a computer worm congratulations! Luckily this worm is harmless but may be of annoyance Anyhow serves you right for running strange stand alone exefiles".
