I'm a little bitter towards the province if you couldn't tell.

That's my advice to you. It's not much but it's something. I'd say just do research into which schools offer what you're looking for and go for the one with the best credentials and whatnot.

yeah, it all depends on what you want to do.. we have a canadian magazine called MacLean's magazine... it does university rankings every year, and at the top for undergraduate comprehensive (which is like overall) are usually: Simon Fraser University, McGill, and University of Waterloo...

SFU is an awesome school, and a gorgeous campus, but it doesn't really offer residence, so student life isn't really the greatest... I dont know too much aboot McGill other than its 15 minutes away from the craziest party streets in canada...

waterloo is where i go, and its a really good school for mathematics, engineering, and computer science...

u of toronto is a really underrated school, and its downtown too...
