| Americans gotta read this... | | I remember Wdnesday said once that sorros you can't compare... I know that and I feel that, know I said it then listing:
I think about what happened a lot, but who wouldn't you see it everytime you opens a newspaper and everytime you turn the tv on... My deal is just its gotten blown up to much, I thinks its to much!
I feel with you all, I do, but what about all the other awfull things that had happen and does happen? You don't see that beeing blown up in the news... Actually it was about 3000 people ho died but there has been worse things in the world...
Its just cause USA is a big country and I think maybe people from Europe can better see them selfs as an american then a little child in Africa... But still...
I have been thinking about this a lot and how to say this without beeing rude cause that wasn't what I wanted... And I know I didn't get everything in this that I wanted to say... maybe I will add it later... |

| I understand Pinkie......the media really needs to lay off the coverage, but that doesnt mean that we wont remember those who died or not respect them any more. It's become such big news because of the scale of the attack (3000 is loads of ppl to die at once) and of course it was in USA and the world revolves around there (apparantly). It's also brought terrorism back into the international arena, and it's a topic that america hasn't had to deal with before. The british live with the atrocities of the IRA attacks, and many other countries face terrible times every single day. That doesn't get a huge reaction.... it's just that Americans are only now feeling the real hurt of terrorism.... it's a pity that they have to feel it in such a big way tho. |

| you're right! Thousand people die every of war, illness and starvation and USA doesn't even bother. If the September 11 would happen in other country, it would be totally different.Of course the attack were horrible and no country deserves that but USA, now, must think that they aren't invicible and they must stop thinking only in themself. |

| Well, the reason why there is so much coverage of this is not only b/c these people died. But of the terrorist thread world wide that people should be aware of. This morning in the USA 3 terrorists were arrested in Florida. We are on the brink of war and it doesn't just involve us. Several other countries are joining with the USA so this is now a worldwide event. And I would rather see coverage of something that is worthwhile than what some teen pop star is currently wearing or what is going on in Hollywood. |

| What happened was a big deal, and alot of people are scared now. While, yes, they are completely saturating the media with it, it is getting the information out there that might put people's mind at ease.
People's attention are fleeting and today's sorrow is tomorrows old news. I'm honestly surprised that we've paid attention this long. |

| MEDIA MEDIA MEDIA
Have child abductions really been a rampant problem this year? NO. They are DECLINING, but you wouldn't know that based on the MEDIA coverage they're getting. Same with 9/11. Oh well. Can't trust newspapers to keep it all in perspective for ya.
