Default Adding Fonts To Your Computer!

Alright, I downloaded a bunch of fonts and i put them in the fonts folder but for some reason none of them will show up in any programs, are you supposed to put them in there in a specific way or something???

Ok, after you download them unzip and extract them to the fonts folder.

Cool you did that.

Ok, I think all you have to do is pay your little fonts' folder a visit. When you do this all the fonts that you just put in your computer will load. Hopeful after you do this you'll see them in your font list when you go into PSP or whatever the case might be.

Try this. If it doesn't help let me know.

Good luck!

i do this a 1000000 times on my computer..

1. Get the font to download

2. after its done open winzip.

3. Unzip the file (just press next a lot)

4. let it unzip, then go to your fonts folder

5. When download is finished, a folder will pop up

6. copy and paste the font to your fonts folder.

7. then everything should be there

Instead of copy and pasting, isn't it easier just to unzip it directly into the Fonts folder?

I don't know... that's how i do it, and i've never had a problem with it... Bleh.

Stacking every damn font you have in that fonts folder does take a lot out of your computer, especially when you start up the software that uses these things. It might happen that your computer can't take it and doesn't load any more than >insert limit number here<. So unless you got a damn fast computer, I'd store them in a different folder and when you need one specifically (for making a blend or whatnot), copy it into the fonts folder so you can use it.

I finally got it!

I tried what u guys said and nothing worked, so I looked into it in the support center and w/ XP you have to go into your control panel and into the fonts folder from there! For some reason it won't work in the C/windows/fonts way!

Now I have 800 fonts on my computer! lol

XP... I so hate that software. I won't be looking forward to switching over.

Now I'm using Win2k, I'm missing XP due to the following reasons:

* the webserver (IIS) snap-in for the console (MMC) - it sucks
major in W2k... impossible to do anything advanced or fancy .

* login after restart of the computer is (at least was on my
computer) faster than with Win2k .

Other than that... I'm pretty satisfied with having Win2k in-
stead of WinXP ... less fancy too .
