Default Acts 1

And when the Day of Pentecost, was fulfilled, they were all, with one accord, at the same place. And there came suddenly out of the Sky, a sound, as of a bearing violent breath, and it filled all the House, where they were sitting. And they saw, what seemed to be tongues, which were divided like flames of Fire, and they rested upon each of them. And they were all filled with Power, from on High, and they began to speak in various Languages, according to whatever Elohim gave them to declare. Now there were staying in Jerusalem, Israelites, devout men from all the Nations, under Heaven. And when that sound occurred, all the people collected together in bewilderment, because they were each one hearing them, speaking in his proper dialect. And they were all astonished, and did wonder, saying one to another, are not all these who speak, Galileans. Then how is it, do we hear every man, in our proper dialect, in which we were born. Parthian's, and Mede's, and Elamite's, and those dwelling between the Rivers, also in Judah, and Cappadocia. And those from the region of Pontus, and of Asia, and the parts of Lybia, near Cyrene, and those who have come from Rome. Israelites, and Proselytes, Cretans, and Arabians, in our own Languages, we hear them declaring, the great things of Elohim. And they were all amazed, and stunned, saying one to another, what does this mean. Others however, ridiculed them saying, they have drunken new Wine, and are intoxicated. Then Peter stood up, with the Eleven, and elevated his voice, and declared to them, men of Judah, and all you inhabitants of Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give heed to my words. For these are not intoxicated, as you suppose, for it is yet, but the Third hour of the Day. But this is that, which has been spoken through the Prophet, Joel, it shall be in the last Days, said Elohim, that I will pour my Power, upon all Flesh. And your sons will Prophesy, and your daughters, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream, dreams. And upon my servants, and my handmaids, will I pour out my Power in those Days, and they will Prophesy. And I will show wonders in heaven, and signs on the Earth, Blood, and Fire, and billows of Smoke. The Sun will be turned into Darkness, and the Moon into Blood, before the coming of the great, and glorious Day of the Lord. And it will be, that whoever will call on the name, of the Lord, will be saved. Men, sons of Israel, hear you these words, Yeshua, the Nazarean, a Man approved of Elohim, among you by mighty works, of Power, and wonders, and signs, that Elohim did through him, in the midst of you, as you yourselves know. The very one, who was chosen for this purpose, from the very beginning of knowledge, and will of Elohim, you have delivered into the Hands, of wicked men, and you have Crucified, and murdered him. But Elohim raised him from among, the dead, freeing him from the agony of Death, because it was impossible for Death, to keep its hold on him. For David said, in regard to him, I foresaw the Lord at all times, before me, because he is on my right Hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is comforted, and my glory, is exalted, even my Body shall rest in hope, because you will not abandon me, to the Grave, nor will you let your pious one, to see corruption. You have made known to me, the paths of Life, you will fill me with joy, with your Face. Now men, and brothers, I may speak to you explicitly, of the Patriarch, David, that he died, and was buried, and his Tomb is here to this Day. For he was a Prophet, and he knew that Elohim, had sworn to him by an Oath, that he would place one of his descendants, on his Throne. And he foresaw, and spoke, of the Resurrection of Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the Grave, neither did his Body, see corruption. Elohim has raised this Yeshua, to Life, and we are all witnesses, of the fact. Exalted to the right Hand of Elohim, he has received from the Father, the promised Power, and has poured out, what you now see, and hear. For David has not ascended into Heaven, because he himself said, Yahweh said, to my Lord, sit you at my right Hand, until I make your enemies, a Footstool, for your Feet. Therefore let all the House of Israel, know assuredly, that Elohim has made this very Yeshua, whom you have Crucified, to be Lord, and Messiah.

When they heard these things, they were convicted in their minds, and they said to Peter, and the rest of the Apostles, what does it take, to become your brothers. Peter said to them, repent, and be baptized, everyone of you through the name, of the Lord, Yeshua, for the remission of sins, so that you may receive the Power, from on High. For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all those afar off, whom Elohim will call. And with many other words, he earnestly testified, and exhorted, saying, save yourselves from this perverse generation. And some of them readily received his discourse, and believed, and were baptized, and about Three Thousand, were added to their number, that Day. And they continued steadfastly in the teaching of the Apostles, and they took part in prayer, and in the breaking of Bread. And fear was on every mind, and many wonders, and signs, were done through the Apostles, in Jerusalem. And all they who believed were together, and whatever belonged to them, was of the community, and they who had a possession, sold it, and divided to each one, as he had need. And continuing steadfastly with one mind, Day by Day in the Temple Courts, and breaking Bread, from House to House, they shared food in gladness, and simplicity of heart, and they praised Elohim, and finding favor with all the People, and the Lord added to the Assembly, the ones being saved, from Day to Day. And it occurred, as Simon Peter, and John, went together up to the Temple, at the time of prayer, being the Ninth hour, that those accustomed to bring a man, lame from his mother's womb, brought him, and laid him at the Gate of the Temple, called Beautiful, that he might ask alms, of those going into the Temple. This man, when he saw Peter, and John, going into the Temple, asked them, to give him alms. And Peter, and John, looked on him, and said to him, look on us. And he looked on them, expecting to receive something, from them. Peter said to him, Gold and Silver, I have not, but what I have, I give to you, through the name, of our Lord, Yeshua, the Messiah, the Nazarean, rise up, and walk. And he took him by the right Hand, and raised him up, and forthwith his Feet, and his Heels, recovered strength. And he leaping up, stood, and walked, and entered with them into the Temple Courts, walking, and leaping, and praising Elohim. And all the people saw him, as he walked, and praised Elohim. And they recognized that he was the beggar, who sat daily, and asked alms, at the Gate, called Beautiful, and they were filled with amazement, and wonder, at what had occurred. And as he held fast to Peter, and John, all the people ran in astonishment towards them, to the Porch, that is called Solomon's. And when Peter saw it, he answered, and said to them, Men, Sons of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you gaze on us, as if by our own Power, or Authority, we had made this man to walk. The Eloah of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the Eloah of our Fathers, has glorified his Son, Yeshua, whom you delivered up, and denied, in the presence of Pilate, when he would have justified him, and set him free. But you denied, the Holy, and Righteous One, and demanded, that a murderer should be released to you. And that Prince of Life, you slew, and him, has Elohim has raised, from among the Dead, and all of us, are witnesses of it. And by the believing through his name, Elohim has strengthened, and cured this Man, whom you see, and know, and believing through him, has given the Man this soundness, before you all. But now my Brothers, I know that you did this through ignorance, just as your leaders did it. And Elohim, according as he has previously announced, through the Mouth, of all the Prophets, that the Messiah would suffer, has in this manner, fulfilled it. Repent therefore, and turn to Elohim, so that your sins may be blotted out, and times of rest, may come to you, from before the face, of Yahweh, and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you. Yeshua, the Messiah, he must remain in Heaven, until the time comes, for Elohim to restore everything, as he promised long ago, through the Mouth, of his Holy Prophets. For Moses said, a Prophet like me, will Yahweh raise up to you, from among your brothers, to him hearken you, in all that he will say to you. And it will come to pass, that every person who will not listen, to that Prophet, will be lost, from his people. And all the Prophets, that have been from Samuel, and those after him, have spoken, and proclaimed, of these Days. You are the children, of the Prophets, and that Covenant, which Elohim made with our Fathers, when he said to Abraham, through your Offspring, all peoples on Earth, will be blessed. With you from the first, he has established to you, and Elohim has sent his Son, blessing you, if you will return, and repent, of your iniquities.

And while they were speaking these words, to the people, the Priests, and the Sadducees, and the Rulers, of the Temple, rose up against them. Being angry with them, that they taught the people, and announced through Yeshua, a resurrection, from among the Dead. And they laid hands on them, and kept them until the next Day, because evening was drawing near. And many who had heard the word believed, and they were in number, about Five Thousand men. And the next Day, the Rulers, and the Elders, and the Scribes, assembled, and also Annas, the High Priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and they who were of the kindred, of the High Priests. And when they had set them in the midst, they interrogated them, by what Power or what Name, have you done this. Then Simon Peter, through the power, and said to them, you Rulers, of the people, and Elders, of the House of Israel, listen. If we are judged by you this Day, respecting the good deed done to the infirm Man, by what means he was healed. Be it known to you, and to all the people, of Israel, that through the name, of Yeshua, the Messiah, the Nazarean, whom you Crucified, and whom Elohim, has raised, from among the Dead. Through him, does this Man, stand here before you, recovered. This is the Stone, which you builders rejected, and it has become the Cornerstone. There is no Redemption, by any other Man, for there is no other Name, under Heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved. And when they heard the speech, of Simon Peter, and John, which they pronounced boldly, they reflected, that these were unlearned, and ignorant men. And they were surprised at them, and recognized them, as having been conversant, with Yeshua. And they saw that the lame Man, who had been healed, stood near them, and they could say nothing to confront them. Then they commanded them, to be taken aside, out of the Council. They conferred among themselves, saying, what shall we do to these men, for a conspicuous sign, has openly been performed by them. And it is known, to all that dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it, but so that the fame of it, spread no further among the people, let us threaten them, that they speak henceforth, to no Man, through this Name. And they called them, and commanded them, not to speak, nor to teach, at all, through the Name of Yeshua. But Simon Peter, and John, answered, saying to them, whether it be right before Elohim, to listen to you, more than to Elohim, judge you. For we cannot stop speaking, about the things, which we have seen, and heard. And they threatened them, and dismissed them, for they found no ground, for punishing them, because of the people. For everyone praised Elohim, for what had been done for the Man, on whom this sign of healing, had been wrought, was more than Forty years old. After they were released, they went to their Brothers, and told them all that the High Priests, and Elders, had said. And they, when they heard this, they all together lifted up their voices, to Elohim, and said, Yahweh, you are Elohim, who has made Heaven, and Earth, and the Seas, and all that in them, is. And it is you, who has said through the Mouth, of David, your Servant, why do the Nations rage, and the peoples plot in vain. The Kings, and the Rulers of the Earth, have revolted, and have taken counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed. For truly, they assembled in this very City, together with both Herod, and Pilate, and with the Gentiles, and with the Congregation, of Israel, against your Holy Son, Yeshua, to execute whatever your Hand, and your Will, had previously marked out, to be done. And even now Yahweh, look, and see their threatening's, and grant to your Servants, that they may proclaim your Word, boldly, just as your Hand, is freely stretched out, for healing, and wonders. And your miracles, which are done through the Name, of your Holy Son, Yeshua. And when they had prayed, and made their supplications, the place, in which they were assembled together, was shaken, and they spoke the Word, of Elohim, boldly.
