I read Eric Schomburg’s column about Paris Hilton being stupid. I have to say that I am so glad that someone out there is telling it like it is about Paris Hilton. I would watch television shows and it seems like America is obsessed with people being stupid. It seems that people don’t read books anymore, it’s easier to wait and watch the movie. It’s also sad that the only role models children have is people like Paris Hilton.

Paris’s book was mostly pictures and useless information on her family, fashion, etc. I watched the Simple Life once, and it wasn’t really once. It was more like once for a minute. I changed the channel because it was stupid. Funny it’s a reality show, because it proves her stupidity.

I remember looking in a book store and her stupid dog has a book out on the market. The problem? Tinkerbell is a dog. How is a dog writing a book? More stupid antics by Paris, obviously.

I can’t believe that we live in a country where Paris Hilton is known as a role model. I wish that Paris would get a real job instead of walking down a walkway with very little clothes on. Every time I turn on the tv, journalists are accepting how dumb Paris Hilton is as if it wasn’t her fault. It is her fault. Her sister Nicky is just as stupid. Do they have real jobs? No, in fact, they get paid to show up for parties. Wow, where do I sign up for that?

I was glad to read that someone, especially a guy, said that Paris was ugly, because I can’t believe that people praise her for being an anorexic slut. She’s done porn, and yet she is known as a role model to little girls. She shows up half naked to premiers, yet she is known as a role model. She is an idiot with no common sense and no educational value, yet she’s a role model.

God, save America from Paris.

Obviously she's, in some way, smart, because she's finding ways to make money that don't involve inheriting. The girl knows what she's doing.


[EDIT] Isn't she famous for being heir to the Hilton fortune? Cara's assumptions are rude and unfair. It's all reasonable doubt.

Cara should learn that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and also, not everyone judges someone's beauty by the way they dress or the size of their body.

It's hard to believe, but fashion designing, making reality television, etc. does take effort. She gets paid since the media in interested in seeing heir, so clubs try to get her. Is it really that morally obscene?

Who ever said she was a role model? It feels like Cara is blaming Paris for what other people make of her.

Cara, God doesn't find judgment very sexy.

I agree with the article. It doesn't take smarts to make money. Trust me. I've known plenty of people with money and they weren't in the least bit smart. They were LUCKY. And they themselves will tell you it was luck.

Paris is lucky in the fact that America is obsessed with trash. If America actually demanded of it's stars to beautiful, charming, smart and KIND above all, Paris would be out of luck.

It really pisses me off when somebody like the one who wrote that think they are above it all, I mean, they are these intelectual bright smart people who think they have the last word.
the way I see it, who wouldnt want to be Paris Hilton.....she's rich, she's famous, she's on TV, she does practically everything she wants to do and she gets paid for doing that...
The autor says she dosent has a job, but honestly, if you were to inheir a fortune, would you really be behind a desk???, or would you be out ther doing what she's doing??.

She´s selling and image of herself, and leaving her true self at home, away from the spotlight.....I mean, Paris acts like a dumb because she wants to make people belive she's a dumbas

Personally I dont like to be smart all the time, I dont want to watch Discovery Chanell or a smart sitcom all everytime, I dont want to read serious books all the time and must defenitly I dont want to be behind a desk all my life.

Paris sells an image of what we all want, in a way, to become, a stress free, rich, sucsesfull person

Its relaxing to turn on TV and watch a "stupid" blonde gir working at a bakery doing hell knows what, just as is always refreshing to read some news and watch the educational channel or better yet, watch CNN all day long..(yeah right)

Paris has become a roll model because of the same reason every other celebity has that status...because pepople who dont have anything else to do built people like Hilton up and gives them the "role model" title only to start critisize everything she does.

Any ways, I do belive Paris its a smart girl, she has made belive the world she's beautifull even when she's not particularly pretty. She has made a brand out of her name, and has grown so big that everything that has that name sells.

Her job, I belive, is making us belive she dosent have a job, that she will always be this wild party girl, with no worries at all who will always be milking a cow on TV for our delightment just because she's so dumb she dosent have anything else to do.
Oh....That´s Hot. (ok, now I have to pay her a buck......stupid Paris)

Personally Matuk, I'd rather watch CNN all day long than watch Paris 'pretend' to be dumb. Oh, I used to watch the Simple Life, even have the first season. Then I , dare I say , grew up a little and realized that the girl treats people like crap. I can't like/respect/admire a person who treats about 99 percent of the population like they are scum on the bottom of her shoe. I really don't see how anyone could, but that's just my opinion.
