This was THE WORST VMAs ever. whoch amde me so sad, because it had THE MOST POTENTIAL in the world to be the best! First off This is the 5TH YEAR THEY SNUBBED BRITNEY! I cant believe it. Everyone was in shock. I'm not going to those MTV VMA boards anymore because i kno all the posts are gonna be from the Britney haters saying "hahhaha. britney is a slut and cant win anything. we told you so assholes".
I'm just in disbelief. Even the VJ's said this was her best video they have ever seen. MTV just doesnt know shit.
Second. People at school, even the antibritney fans, said the show sucked. even the usher fans didnt like his performance. all they said "he might of lipped but he is so hott." ugh. THERE WAS NO SIGNATURE PERFORMANCE! Last year it was the Like A Virgin/Hollywood performance. In 2002 it was the medley from PDiddy. In 2001 and 2000 there were numerous signature performances. 2004? - 0!!!!! The set was so small and the stage was so small, MTV could not do all the outrageous performances the VMAs are known for! WHERE IS ALL THE COMMOTION AND EXCITEMENT! IT'S ALL GONE! The only good thing about the show was they got rid of that crappy video filter they used for 2002-2003. THAT WAS IT! There was 1 surprise last nite excluding awards. That was Stevie Wonder. THAT'S IT! NO SURPRISE PEFORMANCE BITS! NONE! IT WOULD OF BEEN WAY BETTER WITH A HOST! It reminded me SO MUCH of the grammys! And the vmas were supposed to be ANTI-GRAMMY! Duude! ALL THE SEXINESS IS GONE! Where has all the pleasure of sex on tv gone?
They were so freakin toned down! I bet they only used like less than half of their budget, those losers. okay, Outkast for Hey Ya, vid of the year.... not the best choice but just ok. JayZ would of been the better choice BUT tthe vmas just nominate a controversial or heartstring award for vid of the year and award it to someone else, a la Johnny Cash last year.
AND WHAT THE HELL WAS WITH ALL THE POLITICS! I MEAN KERRY AND BUSH'S DAUGHTERS DO NOT BELONG THERE! THERE WERE FREAKIN BOOS! okay say get out and votr, BUT THIS IS WAY TOO MCUH! OUTKAST'S PERFORMANCE, MY GOD! DONT JUST THROW IT IN OUR FACES!
This was THE WORST vmas ever! i'll be watching next year still hoping that Britney will finally win an award. I believe now she's been nominated as many times as Susan Lucci. So it should be time. Let's hope the Prerogative video does it. But I'll bet 99.9% she'll lose enxt year too.
