They make contributions to make themselves look good in the public eye. They don't give a shit about needy people and countries ridden with AIDS or etc. They do it all for the glory of the newspaper article of the TV headline of, "Green Day and REM among the thousands that turn out to donate to the AIDS turmoil in Africa." Do you honestly think that these musicians go into this "charity" stuff saying, "This is all for the people. I'm not doing it for publicity." No. Because they don't. Why do you think half of these celebs have cameramen following them around? They do it so the public can SEE that they're doing something nice for the less fortunate. I guess I'm just cynical, but I don't find anyone in Hollywood "good people." They're all out for the same thing; making themselves look like saviours and the greatest people in the world.

Oh and excuse me for liking my President and supporting him. And yes, people like REM and Moby DO need to get lives. Instead of bashing the President in their so-called "raising awareness" songs, they should shut the fuck up and just donate and do it without all of the put downs. Sorry, but putting down the President and the way he handles things does not make the AIDS turmoil in Africa any better. It doesn't make it go away. For those who need to know, I have donated to many charities in the past. Do I want glory for that? No. Just saying so no one quotes me and tells me to donate.

I'm all for people expressing their opinions through art, music and whatever medium. It just becomes sorta redundant to hear these "great" musicians going the childish route by bashing my President. To me, it makes them look immature and those who are easily impressionable are taken in by it. If they're happy with that - then God bless them. All I know is, I don't have to listen to people who act like that.

Oh and please don't call me naive or childish. You don't even know me. If you want to personally attack me then do it in PMs, but don't do it on the forums. Thank you.

And that entire paragraph is what's wrong with the world. They happen to be CELEBRITIES with MONEY, so obviousfuckingly they're gonna be followed with whatever they do. JEsus, it's a pretty bitchy thing to discredit charity work. I'm not gonna personally attack you, but it is heartless to say that charity donations are just heartless publicity stunts. That's is absurd.

And excuse others for NOT liking him, and NOT supporting him, because that is what freedom is all about, no? They're using their talents to speak their minds. But, of course, that certainly isn't allowed. This is America. Home of the slave. Seems like Iraq was better off than we are now, thanks to Mr. Freedom himself. What a sad fucking world when "free" America can't even speak their goddamn minds without someone bitching about how wrong it is, and blah blah blah.

AIDS in Africa has nothing to do with the PResident, nor does he want it to be affiliated him. "No, thats for those fags over there to deal with. Yeah, the other people that aren't black that I hate. But the Mexicans, they can come here for FREE and I'll make them legal because my cousins brother's best friends straight aunt is related to me and she's latino! Yeah the rest, they can go get aids and die." Someone writing a song about Bush doesn't have anything to do with the artists' chariltable donations, nor things that are wrong in the world. They're about how Bush is fucking us up even more, and nothing more. Don't like it? Don't listen.

And you're not famous, so you wouldn't get publicity if you wanted it or not just because you donated.

You could have fooled me. They're childish for bashing YOUR President? Oh, and you're SO mature when you bash Presidents that others may have liked or supported? Back off the contradictions. Everything you just said applies to you, but twisted around.

So I walked into HMV today and was bombarded with posters of Pink with her mouth wide open... different pictures, ALL with her mouth open as if she's screaming. It looked so retarded.

That's all I have to say, haha.

That's the biggest assumption I have ever heard. I hardly doubt the children in third world countries care about the celebrity's motives anyway. I find it funny that you say "dont judge me, you dont even know me" yet you can say these people don't care about their charity work, unless you're best friends with all these people............

God forbid people express themselves in their music...

I listened to this CD last night on "the leak", rather my roommate did...it was actually really good! I hated "Stupid Girl" so I didn't think I would like the CD but, I did!

Wow, I didn't know Pink expressing her mind, in a VERY amazing song both lyrically and musically, was horrible. God forbid she isn't up some moron's ass.

People have already replied to your comments and i don't think there's any need for me to repeat what they've said. Just one thing, I, never in my life, have called you naive or childish. I never said that i know you. I never attacked you nor did any other crap you made up.
I am quite sure that i said concider thinking before saying naive childish crap like that. That means you said naive and childish crap. There's a big difference. Told ya already, thinking wouldn't hurt.

REM isn't a person btw. It's a band.
And i am QUITE sure they have lives, besides, they're probably much more useful than for example yours or anybody elses here, for they have done so much more than we have. Otherwise you'd be all in our faces about how much you've achieved in your life and you simply wouldn't be attacking them (that's just how people are).
