Britney has made her career BASED on doing pointless stunts to make headlines. At least Mariah isn't grinding on everyone all the damn time while 98% naked and doing the SAME THING on stage and basically committing dry sex in front of 7 year olds.
And I'm gonna say the same things Britney fans say when someone brings her up in a topic that doesn't involve her. Don't bring Mariah into a topic that has nothing to do with her. THAT is being hypocritical on your behalf.
Britney and Mariah are not even CLOSE to being on the same level, so you cant even compare them and their actions.

People have to understand though...I'm definitely not as hardcore Britney as I once was, I criticize her sometimes, and I definitely don't believe she's perfect. Far from. But Britney fans have a natural extra-defensive mechanism because of the constant CONSTANT negativity around her. Whether you believe she deserves it or not, that doesn't matter. But to fans, it can be hurtful sometimes, that's all.

Oh trust me Mandy, I know they have the extra-defensive mechanism, but it's pointless to be that way. Because I see people say that they criticize Britney and don't agree with everything in posts, but then you never see any actual place where it's happened, but when someone DOES actually do it, the snapping turtles come out to play, and it's like I'm not INSULTING her on PURPOSE, but it is taken that way. For example, from my point of view, sometimes Britney DOES look like a hooker, thats not an insult, its me describing how she looks or the outfit, its not CALLING her one. There's no other word to describe it. People just get so defensive about everything, which I can SORT OF understand, but not completely. If i were to come in here and be like "oh Britney is such a hooker, prostitute, whore, etc" then yeah I'd get the defense thing, but I never did. i was giving examples on why I didn't think she was a good example. People say she's a good role model because she's successful, but if you look at it, WY is she successful? She uses sex to sell, and yeah, a lot of people do it, BUT how is showing that using sex to sell products being a good role model? And add on top of that she does weird things for attention, how is that a good role model. THAT is all I was trying to get across. I wasn't trying to be insultive about her.

Dude, Kizzie, I couldn't agree with you more. I personally hate how she has to involve sex with everything she does. I was only saying that because like Britney, Mariah wears tons of revealing clothing. I thought that was the issue, when it was much deeper than that. In the end, you're point wins because I didn't see the topic as whole. So, do you see where I'm coming from?

Thank God someone gets my point LOL Maybe I just never explained it well enough, maybe now everyone will see my point. And yes, I agree Mariah did it all the time in the past, and she still does it but not as extreme as she USED to. I wouldn't say Mariah is a good role model as far as that goes. If someone would say Britney was a good role model because of her charities, like people say about MC, then I definitely would give her credit for that.
