| W Readers Reactions To Britney Cover And Interview. | | Pop Tart I was looking forward to reading W every month. Your August issue was a treat, as usual. I thought I was having deja vu when I saw the cover-it looked almost eerily like a recent picture of Heidi Klum on the cover of another magazine- but once I got inside, I was stunned by the beautiful photographs of Britney Spears ("Burning Britney"). Never much of a fan of Britney's I was nonetheless enthralled by the edginess and raw passion that leaped off the page and grabbed me.
In photos of Gisele in a mosh pit or Madonna striking a pose, W offers the most startling and compelling images of any magaine today . It's a welcome thrill for those of us who still recognize the power of glossies, even an era that probably has the legendary editixies and photographers of the past spinning in their graves.

I cannot believe you would sink so low as to publish an article about a pop star and her sex life . One would think those at W's helm had more class than to print something so trashy! Britney Spears is detrimental to the magazine's reputation, as I'm sure you'll discover when the flagging sales reports for this issue come in.

It seem to me that Britney Spears is not only trying too hard to reinvent herself this time around, but trying to win America's sympathy as well. I think it's bogus that she told W that Justin Timberlake sold her out. His answer to Barbara Walters was a vague one, and if she was so hurt by the content of that interview, why did she wait for months- until just before releasing her new album- to talk about it? It all feels manufactured to me, and I'm just Not Buying it.

| Pffffffffft and to think fans called it trashy It was an awesome photoshoot with a good interview! People say it like she just came saying "I had sex Justin with JUstin!!!!! and he sucks in bed" (double meaning ) but she really just said it differently. But yeah, if I hated Britney (uh huh no) i would agree with Callie Lynch. But now that I'm objecitve I think that she said it now because now she's back and all and it's after the break. The whole Justin shit thing came in the middle of her break, and she didn't do interviews and shoots at that time. Of course you heard lots of crap about it but never a REAL INTERVIEW. Then when she started getting back, she just said that, in her first interview to stop people from saying "she's not a virgin" and that people would shut their mouths already. God these people need to die |

| W had a reputation? I had never heard of W before this entire Britney thing, so I think those readers should be quite enthralled to see how many more copies were sold because of fans. I don't think she's quite "trying too hard" to reinvent herself though. She's probably just having a lot of fun doing new things. |

I think trying too hard is when Christina did that "Dirrty" video, for example... |

| Sadly, I agree. I like Britney really but I was a little dissapointed that she started talking about her private life. It's no one bussiness and I'm sick of hearing about it. I also though it was a little weird that she waited so long to talk about it, after she said she would "take the high road" (which was the mature thing to do) but now that it's time to promote the album shes talking about it.
Thats just the way I feel about it. I hate it when celebrites sell themselves out for promotion. |

| She mentioned the sex thing once. lol The last interviews with InStyle and The New York Times didn't even mention Justin at all. She wanted to get everything out in the open so that people will let it go. It appearantly worked...I see that Justin fans are still upset that she said he sold her out. |
