US Breaking News: Britney and Justin Reuniting?
No need to hire a band, a caterer or florist quite yet, but Briney Spears, 21 and Justin Timberlake, are spending time together (once again).
"They see each other and talk a lot," says a Spears confidante, who adds "they're not committed to each other, and they know they both can date other people, but they are close. She cares a lot about him."
A close friend of Timberlake, 22, tells Hot Stuff, "Time does heal, and he really does and will always love Britney." That source adds there's a chance down the road that they'll get together once they've reestablished trust.
For the time being though, the Timberlake source acknowledges "she has been around a few times over at the house" and not only is Spears enjoying Timberlake's company at his place but also the vittles prepared by one of his assistants.
A Spears pal says after one evening at Timberlake's Hollywood Hills home, Britney said, "It's good to have Southern cooking." For months after their March 2002 breakup, the two didn't cross paths until that fateful dance-off on August 1.
After that, they still kept their distance until they buried the hatchet shortly before Timberlake's twenty-second birthday party on January 31.
For now, cautions another Spears confidante, "They're starting off with a friendship. They're taking it slow"
