I just wish she would release the song and video at the same time, they could help each other. Like with MATM, I think the video should of been released when the song was.

omg, i'm really happy that it's starting off at a good point. I seriously think this single will be very big, but i'm not gonna be really surprised if it doesn't do too good.

"boom boom" and "outrageous" are both falling now! "Toxic" is heading for the top!!!! I think this song could be a huge hit. Radio seems to really be liking it. and to GODspeed - how could either "boom" or "outrageous" impact good if they had them out at the same time, and they wern't even sent to every radio station! They were just trying to see which one would do better. Britney does now have more power at her record label, you should start giving her the credit she deserves.

Not every radio station has to have the song for it to do as well as Outrageous and Boom did. Neither song had an overwhelming majority over the other, which is what they wanted. They were both sent to test markets, but they both did exactly the same, which wasn't what they wanted. So they pulled them and released what third single they had planned, which was Toxic. So now, a new third single is going to be chosen. There was nothing dramatic involved, the songs just didn't do what Jive was expecting, so they did away with them all together. I read on one stations website, I think it was in Orlando, that didn't even want to pull Boom Boom from the playlist because it was going over so well with the public. But from what experience I have at radio, I think Toxic should have been the main focus all along. I think it's going to be the "Beautiful" of In the Zone. Cause if you remember, "Dirrty" was quick hit, even though it may not have gone as high as MATM, but it went out as quick as it came in. Then Beautiful came out and it was huge. I think Toxic will be that single.

I heard a rumor that Breathe On Me is the planned next single, but lets not get ahead of ourselves!

I'm just afraid that "Toxic" will be overplayed way too soon and then drop like a rock. Beyonce's new song is going up slowly if you look at the positions (35 33 BEYONCE Me, Myself, And I 1566 1304 262 10.471) and you just know that she'll be #1 anyway. So maybe it's better to start off with not too much spins. Britney went from 164 to 73 in a WEEK. People might get sick of it too soon. Whoa.. I am still surprised that they chose a pop song like Toxic to be the SECOND single. That's so risky... So I hope it's gonna do very very well.

Yup, Toxic's been playing here on the radios now and everyone's loving it. Just wish the video would come a bit closer to the release of the single, but whatever. Hope this is a big hit!! And I hope it convinces more people to buy her album because her sales are dropping like CRAZY!!

I totally agree.

I think Toxic will be big for Britney and I hope it is because it's a great song.
