Has Anyone heard any music by Solange yet? I am interested to know what she sounds like. Here is some news on her. Has anyone got more information about her?

Beyonce Knowles is facing tough competition, this time from her younger sister.

Solange is about to release her debut album 'Solo Star', and big sis Beyonce is among a long list of star name collaborators on the CD.

Others include Neptunes, Timbaland, Kandi Burruss, Linda Perry and Rockwilder, plus guest appearances by N.O.R.E., Lil' Romeo, B2K, Da Brat and Murphy Lee of the St Lunatics.

Solange reckons the album is a winner:

"I have a lot of different influences on it. I have alternative… on my first single 'Feelin' You' featuring N.O.R.E. I have a reggae hip-hop vibe. I have a little jazz on there. I just put a lot of different elements that that I'm influenced by."

Solange is currently on tour with Destiny's Child. She admits the unusual mix of styles on her debut CD could be a risk, but one she's willing to take:

"I think that that's wonderful. I think a lot of people out there don't listen to one type of music - therefore they have to go into the pop section, the RnB section, the rock section."

"And now that artists like Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake are making albums with a lot of different influences, it's making a lot of people more open-minded. People who would only listen to R&B and pop are gonna listen to alternative because they bought the record and it's on there."

'Solo Star' is out in the US on January 21, with the first single to be 'Feelin' You'.

She's aiiight. Not better than Beyonce, but they sound a LOT alike. They both do that yelly thing... I don't have much of an opinon on her except she acted stupid at the Billboards. I LOVE "Feelin' You Part 2" though, featuring N.O.R.E. It's pretty tight.

I have not heard anything by her yet but i cannot stand when brothers/sisters go and get record deals because there brother/sister did it!!!!

i heard one song of her from the destinys child xmas CD -- the song was called drummer boy or somethin -- i dont think shes better than beyonce but she sounds alot like her...
