| First off congradulations to Britney. <333 Once again she shocked me. I thought for sure she wouldn't get pregnant for a while, since she posted in her web site that time. She always keeps me guessing. I hope her pregnancy goes well. I'm very happy for her. She will be the cutest pregnant woman ever. I hope you don't get the morning sickness Britney , because three months of that is the worst thing I have ever experianced. And epidural Brit. Epidural. It will change YOUR LIFE!
Second of all , all the people who are like "She's not ready" piss me the eff off. I'm sorry. Do you know her personally? Do you take tea with her? Does she like one lump or two? You DONT know her, and sitting here questioning wheter she's going to be a good mother or not...that is about the rudest ,meanest thing I can think of to say about a person. Regardless of if she's 'ready' or not (which I'm guessing she is, since she decided to HAVE the baby) , I'm sure she will be when the baby arrives. Guess what? I wasn't ready to have a baby. I had one, and I love my child dearly. God people just uhyhhhh. |

Which, to be honest, is probably a better way to think than to automatically think "Oh, it's Britney Spears, she will be a great mother, cause you know, tee hee *flips hair* she can do everything". And hey, if people don't think Britney's ready to have a baby, then that's what they think. Remember, the majority of the members on this board have never given birth to a child, so they don't share the same perspective you do. Also remember that you, yourself, don't know Britney, you don't know if she takes one lump or two. So you can not sit there and say she will be ready to be a mother, as you don't know for sure, either.
I really have no judgements on the situation, for the reasons you said. Being that I try to turn a blind eye to as much of Britney's private life as possible, I don't know what she's like at home, and I can't tell you if I think she'd make a good mother or not. All I can do is hope she can be the best mother she can, but I don't expect much. I do believe it's better to have low expectations and be impressed than to have high expectations and be disappointed by failure. |

When I said I didn't think she was ready, however I worded it, I didn't mean for it to sound like I thought she would be a bad mother because honestly, I have no idea what kind of a person she is, etc. What I ment by it was I think it's really soon in her and Kevin's relationship/marraige to have a child. They've only been married a few months, have only known each other a year or so. To me that seems rushed, but I'm not them so I don't know. I was just saying what I thought. |

I can pull up NUMEROUS times where I have said I disagreed on something she did. So that won't work with me.
People can think what they want. And I can tell them what I think of what they think. Power of the message board, huh? I think it's rude to sit in judgement of someone you DONT EVEN KNOW, like you know everything and you are the authority on when people are ready to have children or not.
What has Britney even done in the last few months to suggest that she's not ready for a child? Take care of her step child? Go to her birthday party? Spend time at her mother's house. I'm just not seeing it, but ok.
I'm not saying she's ready to be a mother. I don't know her, but the fact that she has said numerous times that she wants kids, the fact that she spends time with her step child, Shar's other child-that points to me that she seemed to be in a stage of her life that she decided she could handle a child.
Yes I do have a different perspective, and I'm happy for the perspective I have, that allows me to not make snap decisions on wheter someone is going to be a good mother or not. Did I ever think that I could be? Hell no. Well look at me now. Quote: | I really have no judgements on the situation, for the reasons you said. I don't prepare myself for failure , because I try my darndest never to fail. I've found that if you expect the best, you usually will get it.
Allie I wasn't aiming anything at you. You didn't say anything about her not being ready, you just said that it was soon in their relationship, which it is. That doesn't really have much to do with Britney being a good mother, as much as it does to her and Kevin's relaltionship post baby. |

| I knew that she was pregnant and I understand completely with hiding it because I know when I was pregnant I told everyone and then ended up losing it a week later. Imagine them telling everyone so soon and then something happens I mean something could still happen but there is a greater chance in the first trimester. and if she did end up losing it then everyone would be drilling her worse then they have been. besides it's their business to decide to say something when they feel like it and nows that time. congrats to them and I hope that everything works out for them . also Sylvia on the Montell show predicted that she would be and that her relationship wouldn't work out but lets hope that she is wrong about that last part, cuz I love them together. anyway congrats! |
