It definitely is a double standard...I can't name one female out there that isn't at least a little provacative. Beyoncé, Ashanti, Christina, even Jessica Simpson now... I mean, all of them.

My issue is here is just that it seems like this is what Britney wants -- attention for her album. And of course, she'll get it. But I don't think shoots like RS are the way to go. It's like, "Here I am, selling my body ONCE AGAIN." Then again, it IS just a photoshoot and RS is just like that. Blah, it's all complicated but I think you might understand.

It sucks now because I CAN'T defend her anymore...I seriously can't. So all I can do is like what I like and ignore the negativity...which gets hard and annoying...

I totally agree, nicely worded. I love Britney!! and I always feel this need and Right (being a devoted britney fan) to stick up for her and for the things she has done. But now I feel that maybe there should be a limit to her "sexy" photoshoots. No doubts shes goregous and works at her figure like a mad women, but I would APPRECIATE a glamours photoshoot, like one Nicole Kidman or Gwenyth Paltrow would pose for. Something new, tasteful, and lovely wouldn't be such a harsh change. Britney is soo talented. And I personally really like her voice, it's so unique and different and its not one of those voices where ur thinking "holy crap shut up!! ur freaking whinning and screaming is killing me!". Britney is not only a talented singer but shes extremely talented at dancing. So when people say, "oh shes doing this cause she has nothign else to help her with her sales..." I think thats bullsh*t. And if she is, a goregous photoshoot would really help her sales. People who say "oh Britney that slut" would have to do a double take and say "wow shes goregous and I absolutely love her look, I especially like how shes not trying to seduce me in this photo."

These pics are becoming predictable. PLEASE BRITNEY SURPRISE US!!!!

actually it's not true, people have these attitudes and think it does, but iin the long run, people don't wanna see sex all the time, there's a time and place to be nakes, not all over every magazine spread.
Serioulsy, I feel sorry for 6 year olds who go to a fucken convenitent store and try to look at a magazine and open it up to see almost naked girls eveywhere... what an example to set to these kids... "oh you have to be naked and sell yourself to be accepted or your not good enough"
