Mandy, i agree with what you said, Britney always gets the double standard and i think that's why alot of people say she's slutty cuz you don't hear them saying that about Beyonce and all that... I was thinkin the same thing, i just hope people pay alot of attention on the music and less on her image. But if she does photoshoots like this, i dont think they're gonna pay much attention to the music if you know what i mean.

I do think my opinion counts but i also don't want Britney to dress that way cuz then my freinds and cousins would bother me all the time. I just want her to fully cloth alot so they can stop bugging me about her and then they can finally have respect for her too. She does loose alot of respect for the kinds of clothes she wears sadly.

When you do photoshoots...you can show skin and stuff and still be classy with it. I think the RS photoshoot is pretty classy, even though it IS very risqué. There's trashy, and there's classy. Certain artists (that shall remain nameless) are more trashy to me. But everyone has their opinion.

It definitely is a double standard...I can't name one female out there that isn't at least a little provacative. Beyoncé, Ashanti, Christina, even Jessica Simpson now...

I mean, all of them.

My issue is here is just that it seems like this is what Britney wants -- attention for her album. And of course, she'll get it. But I don't think shoots like RS are the way to go. It's like, "Here I am, selling my body ONCE AGAIN." Then again, it IS just a photoshoot and RS is just like that. Blah, it's all complicated but I think you might understand.

It sucks now because I CAN'T defend her anymore...I seriously can't. So all I can do is like what I like and ignore the negativity...which gets hard and annoying...

To all of you people saying "Oh It's Rolling Stone people are always pushing the envenlope in it" So is Playboy. Excuses exuses. Christina does Maxim and Rollingstone near-naked and shes some humongus slut, but when Britney does it, "oh well shes just pushing the envinlope, its rolling stone." I bet if I were to look for the Christina Rolling Stone thread there would be a loooot of people saying shes trashy because shes near-naked on the cover of rolling stone. Im not gonna, but I'm tired of people saying it's okay for Britney.

One other thing I would like to point out. Being naked doesnt make you a slut. She cant be slutty for doing a naked photoshoot. A publicity whore, yes, but not slutty.

i know exactly what you mean. The thing that has me sad is, i know she would get more attention if she wore clothes. People are gonna say that it was just a matter of time before she went this far. (If i havn't said that already

The thing is, when Christina started dressing all raunchy and stuff...i did begin to dislike her a bit. Then, right now, she's gotten over that stage. If you see, she wears more clothes now and is over than whole "naked" thing if you know what i mean. Lately, she's been doing some really good photoshoot fully clothed and i've gained much respect for her. But now, Britney has done that whole sexy image with "Britney" and she's still continuing, its like "Britney, it's getting old, come up with something new" I dont call this a new image.

Why do you people bitch that Brintey is to 'slutty' when Christina could have just called her photoshoot a nude one because there was absolutly no clothes.

And dont mean to sound harsh or bash Britney, but Britney isnt a very good singer so she has to show off her other assests to be able to sell this album, if not in all honesty its not gonna do to good.

Because BOMT was a good song and so was Oops etc. Doesnt mean she sings awesome, just means she's had good songs
