Ne-Yo writing for Britney | | Ne-Yo is penning tracks for Britney Spears comeback album, it has been revealed.
The talented 24-year-old R&B star, who released his own album "In My Own Words" last year, has been writing tracks for Spears A&R team for a possible late 2007 release - Britney's first since 2003's "In The Zone".
However, the songwriter - who also reveals he's penning tracks for Whitney Houston's comeback album - has been told not to write about Spears' break-up with Kevin Federline.
"One thing they told me was, 'No more songs about Kevin," Ne-Yo - real name Shaffer Smith - tells MTV News. "She's got a 12-CD disc changer full of songs about Kevin. She don't need no more of those'"
"I've been working close with her A&R people. They talk to her every day and are basically coming to me with information as far as songs she's looking for", he goes on to say. It's come along nicely, I did about five or six for her so far. I don't know what she's going to keep, but it's coming along nicely.
"If I had to make a prediction, judging not just the stuff I've done, but the stuff I've heard she's done with other people, I think she's got a shot to come back. I really do."
We'll see what would this look like! |
