Okay- I just finished watching TRL Premiere the Christina Aquilera video for her latest song "Beautiful", and let me just say.. I am not a fan, but wow. If Christina did this video as her first single instead of the filth of "Dirrty", I would've bought her album.

But, that is not what I want to discuss here. I'm going off topic, anyways… as I was saying…

I was watching "Beautiful", and I was caught off guard by the beauty, and SUBSTANCE of the video… it had a meaning, it left you really thinking… wanting more. It showed a story.

Recently I felt the same way when I saw the video for another artist I had previously hated with a passion, Justin Timberlake. Now, don't get me wrong, I still hate the guy.. his music never really was my thing, and his attitude has gotten to me more than once, but this video was filmed excellently, and it told a story.. once again, it left you wanting more… it had substance.

In fact, both the songs "Cry Me A River", and "Beautiful" have substance. They aren't just songs put out there for dancing, or songs about how so in love you are.

That is the case with most songs I like nowadays.

Then I went back and listened to some Britney songs. And I started remembering the videos. Well, I am a fan but, I really don't know how I'll take it if we get more songs like "Bombastic Love" on the fourth album. Because Britney has supposed to be evolving her image with this album, and I hate seeing her turned into a joke.

Anyways, I hope Britney comes back stronger than ever. With more grown-up lyrics with real substance. I hope she begins to show her true vocal talent. I also hope to see her take a harder edge, no more Bubblegum pop!!! I'd love to see a cd from Britney with a good mix, like perhaps, Pink's latest cd MissUndaztood.

That's my current opinion of Britney's image musically. What would you like to see in the future?

Another one of these? Ugh. Whaaaaateeeever. There's no need for comparisons. I want her to evolve, as she HAS been, and do what she wants. I'm happy now so there. I just want her to be happy. That's all I ask. And I wouldn't mind Timbaland and William Orbit-guy tracks either.

If u ask me christina is trying to gain fans by attracting diffrent types of people.

Bye having gay people in her video she is trying to branch out to that group.

I do not buy it and britney should do her own thing!

How can you compare ca & jt to Britney's 'old' cd?? With every cd that comes out of an artist it always changes & it usually always gets better. Wait till Brit's NEW cd comes out cuz comparing her old stuff to their new stuff doesn't make sense.

these are all from new albums in this current era when pop is out and emotions are in britney is getting to that stage but she had alot of albums made before this time so i think her new songs and video's are no longer gonna be all about partying and have a good time she's growing up and being 21 reached a milstone in her life so i think she's going to hit a milstone in her career. in relation to christina she's doing her thing and britney's doing hers. i'm not really bothered about christina although i do think she deserves any success she may get Give credit where credit is due that's my motto. But i'm not really worried because britney will be back better and badder than ever.

I would just love it if Brit would do an album like "Stripped." I think it waould be so awesome if she did that. I think it's time for her to do an album like that. Her other stuff is still great but it's time for something new. If I were her that's what I would do.
