Mariah Recorded With Sean Paul for Charmbracelet | | Apparently, it never made the album. If it did, what a nightmare that would be. I can't stand his ass. Anyway, here's how I found out...
CAREY'S COLLABORATION COMPILATION?
According to MusicMistress98, DefJam can't confirm any new releases from Mariah Carey. But there are hints that the singer will contribute songs to the soundtrack, "Sweet Science" - an up-coming romantic comedy in which Carey will also star.
Additionally, the label hasn't ruled out releasing a duets compilation some time in the future -- pending negotiation with the diva's previous label, Sony Music.
Such a release would contain tracks that Carey has previously recorded with artists including Whitney Houston, Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Trey Lorenz, Luther Vandross, 98 Degrees, Busta Rhymes, Westlife, and Jermaine Dupri. No word on whether unheard collaborations with Justin Timberlake and Sean Paul would be included. Carey is also tipped to collaborate with soul legend Stevie Wonder in the near future.
In the meantime, ex-label Sony will continue to 'cash in' by releasing an album of Carey's best remixes on October 14. |
