Hey guys! On newsstands now is a C.E. of Popstar! Magazine devoted to Ms. Hilary Duff. In the Exclusive Q & A w/ Hil, they mentioned how Britney has spoken very highly of her and asked what it meant to her. Below is what she had to say, along w/ a few other mentions of Brit in the issue. Enjoy!

Britney On Hilary In Popstar! Magazine (November 2003) -

We told Britney that Hilary Duff always says she idolizes Ms. Spears in the same way Britney loves Madonna. Britney's reply was typically humble:

"Oh, that's so cute. That's so sweet and so amazing because the other day me and my girlfriend were watching Making The Video and it was her video that came on. She is completely a light to the world. She is so beautiful and so incredibly sweet. My little sister is completely in love with her. Next time you see her, tell her I'm a big fan of HERS! She just a doll."

Then we asked Britney if she had any singing advice for Hilary, now that Hilary is entering the world of music:

"You know what? I don't think she needs that much advice! I think she's doing pretty darn good. Her song is amazing and she has her whole little cool clothes thing going on, her cute little outfits and her personality is amazing so I don't think she needs advice. Maybe, if anything, just be herself and never change!"

We followed Hilary Duff all the way to Kauai to get this totally exclusive, one-on-one chat with her. Late at night, as the waves crashed on the beach a few yards away (we narrowly avoided a hurricane on the trip), Hilary shivered under a fuzzy shawl and opened up to Popstar! Magazine. Hilary, as usual, told us the answers to everything we dared to ask!

Q: Britney Spears recently sang your praises to Popstar! - how does that feel?

A: It makes me feel, like, really amazing and gives me a little bit of confidence because the whole singing thing is very new to me and Britney Spears is such an idol of mine. I think she's a fantastic performer, she's multi-talented, she's absolutely beautiful and I think a lot of people give her flack for some of the things she does, catching her partying or - how old is she? 21? - you know what I mean, everybody does that at that age and she just happens to be in the spotlight getting caught doing it all. She has done so much for everybody and there are so many little girls that look up to her. And even about the way she dresses and stuff - if she's comfortable, more power to her. I think she rocks. I think she's awesome and she's so talented.

Q: How was your 2003 MTV Video Music Awards experience?

A: It was awesome. I had a great time. I got to see so many people that I love and it was fun being onstage and I got to present with Jason Biggs - he was really cool - and I got to see the whole Britney/Madonna/Christina thing which was really cool. I was a little shocked, actually, but I guess that's what it's all about - the shock factor.

Q: When you hear Metamorphosis playing, does it feel real? Does it feel like you?

A: It's so weird because you hear Britney Spears and Nelly and it seems so big and then to hear my songs up next to them it just doesn't seem normal, it seems crazy. I'm such a normal person, I'm from Texas...all the good stuff happening to me just doesn't seem real.

She should have started singing first, she's not a very good actress, IMO. Her stuff's pretty pop-ish, a bit too much for my taste, but I think she's a better singer then an actress..
