they all left cause they couldn't stnad him (except for Rich, he's still with Matt) I don't think it made a huge difference tho, Matt just carried on (THANK GOD!) His album is amazing btw
Anyway, I always got the impression that both Justin Timberlake and Nick Carter did the solo thing cause they wanted to do other things that their groups weren't doing, but yea it is kinda a greed thing too. As for Destiny's Child, I don't think there was a point at all for any of them to do a solo album (except Michelle, because she did a christian album). This whole Gwen thing is just plain retarded, unless the band just plain got sick of her taking all the spotlight, which wouldn't suprise me
