| I know I was shocked when I checked the charts. I almost had a heart attack when Mistaken Identity didnt debut in the top 5 so a little too late was definately a big shock.
I sort of understand though because I think almost all the songs they released from the album were the wrong ones to choose.

Almost everyone I speak to, or read posts from are saying they like electric storm and last night on earth. Reading the tracklisting to the USA album, I am SHOCKED that these two songs do not feature on the album. I think I'm correct in saying that. Did Delta change management or something? Because something is definitely different then before, before all releases and promotion was done amazing well, not rather shocking.
BTW, you can stream the entire Lost Without You (US Mix) video from her US website now.

| Yes. she didnt put the best songs out as a single from MI. And yes, she did changed management I believe right after stop of threatment. I did expect her us album to have all her singles on i.. so only predictable missing came as a shock. She did put Fragile there for some reason.. dont know why. |

And yes, Predictable being missing is very odd indeed. I can't wait to see the cover of the US album, I wonder what it will be like.... |

| I really wanted to see Predictable, Electric Storm and Last Night on Earth on the U.S. album as well. They are my favourite Delta songs lol.
In regards to Last Night on Earth though, I think I posted this earlier on but apparently she is releasing an acoustic 2d cd or something like that with the song on it. I havent seen anything official though.
I love Fragile as well but I hope they didnt up the tempo or anything like that coz the song would be ruined they over produced it.
Im already looking forward to a third album from Delta as I hope that she can regain her popularity in Australia and Europe. She definately had it tough with the MI album as I think she went through a dramatic change both through her appearance and lyrics and I dont think her fans were ready to accept such a big change. She went from like a 12x (or was it 14?) first album to a 5x second and she's been 5x platinum basically since the first week of release. It will be interesting to see how her tour DVD sales go in October because her tour was really brilliant

That IS the image we all love, I don't think that anyone can deny that.
I don't understand how people didn't realise that the lyrics would be angrier, going through such a serious illness does make you angry, confused and see things in a completely different light. And I don't think the bad publicity about her being dumped for Paris then going with Brian McFadden her did her any favours. I mean shit happens in people's personal lives, famous or not but the public are fickle and the media have the ability to portray people to be things that they are not.
I too, hope Delta's third international release is good although I think if she gains popularity in US it might be awhile to we see from her.And you know what, it would be nice to get another UK single. |

| I totally agree with the girl next door thing you mentioned - and Im completely guilty of it just like the majority of her fans. When the Out of the Blue clip came out I was like WTF where is the real Delta? And although I know that she went through cancer treatment and stuff I still subconsciously couldn't accept her new look and wan't really until I saw A Little Too Late that I started to become excited about her again. I know it sounds completely shallow lol coz its not her fault but she just underwent such a big change that it was a bit overwhelming.
Having said that, I prefer most of the songs on MI over IE so its not to say I don't like her new material but I think from a marketing perspective they enforced the idea of her illness to the point where listening to her songs made you feel sad all the time. It's almost like she went to deep for mainstream radio.

Yeah, I mean the poor girl couldn't help she had short hair. It would've been wrong for her to wear a wig or whatever, she should be proud of having lived through all those bad times. Somebody I spoke to said that MI was a boring album... I disagree but I can see where they are coming from. IE is definitely more upbeat and an album that appeals to a wider range of people. Personally MI is better for me... I like deeper meanings to my music.
I must admit I like her longer haired and smiley too... maybe we all have some shallowness when it comes to Delta.
Just noticed The Anaylst is not on the US album either - what the hell is going on with it?! LOL |

Meanwhile, Delta is #19 on the adult contemporary billboard charts

| Hmmmm I didnt really have that feeling I didnt like Delta that much anymore after her second CD. I actually liked her only more!! I never thought the cancer would make me look at her differently. I can completely understand that she wanted to write about it and make an album that is more dark. Cuz in the end of the day, she did undergo serious threatment and was diagnosed with cancer. That is not nothing.
Tho I just dont get why they went with the idea of putting all her singles (ex. Predictable) on her USA album when she did have the choice to put much better songs on there. It was kind of a dissappointment to not get the best songs released of MI. As, I believe it was you Suzy, said before: from IE she released all songs that where potential hit singles. And those songs where all my favourites. With MI, the songs who got released are nice, and I really like em, but there are much better ones on the album for sure. If I had the chance to chose I would go with: 1. Electric Storm 2. The analyst 3. Last night on earth 4. Disorientated 5. Fragile |
