Britney Spears was hitting her expense account one more time last night, as she took over Brown Thomas department store for a marathon shopping Spree. The Pop superstar, her dancers, boyfriend Kevin Federline and Louis Walsh bitzed the top Dublin store for over an hour after closing time, snapping up mounds of lingerie and handbags.
The doors and windows of the designer handbag corner of the store were masked with paper in a bid to ensure the singer’s privacy but crowds of onlookers looked through the gaps to catch a glimpse of Britney.
Her bodyguard whirled a couple of Burberry umbrellas in the direction of the glass everytime he caught a glimpse of cameras, but the fans were rewarded with smiles and waves from Britney. Dressed in ripped jeans, trainers, faded sweatshirt and a Gucci pinky brown tweed hat, she disappeared downstairs just after 7pm. Hordes of shop staff carried The packages, first a Louis Vuitton box and an armful of glittery and multi coloured bags.
Then staff came out with a vast array of lingerie including a vivid turquoise thong and a pink camisole top. The goods were brought upstairs in bulky packages. Britney’s shopping list was not disclosed by Brown Thomas last night but she has joined a long list of stars to request a private viewing. Another who chose to close the Kilkenny Design store was Justin Timberlake, who on a shopping trip in Dublin with Cameron Diaz wanted the whole store closed so he could spend his vast cash in the store. |
