| Again, if there was a bad accident from behind, there Sean would be in great danger even IF the car seat was facing the other way. Holy fuck, at least he's IN a car seat and not sitting up front with no seat belt on. |

| ^And honestly, I'm happy about that. lol Little by little Britney's getting the hang of things. And that's what you gotta do as a new mom. Adjust and try to do better. But maybe having her mom around more would help or something. |

Techincally, shes made two public mistakes not three, seeing as the nanny was in charge when Sean fell. She fired the nanny, didnt she? Thats something. lol (Dont get started on the nanny thing, because it could have been any kid with a babysitter.) |

| In VA a baby has to be in a rear facing child seat until they are a year old AND 20 pounds meaning if they aren't 20 pounds and are a year old, tough shit they have to be facing backwards. thats a pain in the neck too. Try feeding a baby a bottle while driving when he's facing backwards. Ugh.
Britney needs to get a head support cushion for sean so his head doesn't flop like that. |

| Yeah she's making so many mistakes. Someone take that child away from her! I guarantee half the people here, if they were given children, wouldn't do everything in compliance of the law. Get over it people.

| Okay, notice how NOBODY in this thread said that Sean should be taken from Britney or that she should be arrested. Yes she has made mistakes, and yes she probably will keep doing so until she gets the hang of things. However, she has still made some very crucial mistakes that could have endangered Sean. And how can you say that no one here would do things in compliance with the law? Do you know us personally? Not at all. Jess has a son and I bet she does everything she knows how to in order to keep her son safe. And I'm also quite sure that she doesn't knowingly "break the law." I'm sorry but there are no excuses for riding down the Pacific Coast Highway with your 5 or 6 month old in your lap. That is knowingly breaking the law. Britney didn't make some mistake. "I'm sorry y'all, I didn't know what I did was illegal." Britney knew that was wrong, but did it anyway. And no matter how much you like her, you can't defend something stupid like that. You just can't.
Anywaaaaaaays, I'm just glad that she wasn't breaking the law this time around and that nothing happened to her or Sean. |

However, she still needs her mom or someone around to help her out. Well at least that's what I think. | Let's take a second to think about the millions of children out there who are put in harms way on a much more regular basis and in MUCH more serious conditions. There are much bigger problems in this world.
And on top of that, if you don't know enough to call her a bad mother, how do you know enough to say she needs someone around? The only bad thing I've seen her do is drive away with him on her lap. Which yeah, was bad but she probably flipped and didn't know what to do...EVERY new mother has gone through a situation where she's not entirely sure. NOTE: I'm not trying to say she was right to do what she did, and I'm not saying that she didn't break the law but you weren't in her position and you don't know what she was thinking, what the circumstances were like...regardless she broke the law. However, there are some people who CONSTANTLY drive around with their children unrestrained on a DAY TO DAY basis...why not yell at them instead of going off on Britney when she made a snap decision one time in her life? You know, we don't come pre-programmed to be amazing parents, it takes work. Everything else reported about SP and Britney (along with this story) seems to be blown out of proportion by people who just like a chance to jump down her throat and give her grief. Argh!

| well I'm certainly not the pillar stone for good parenting, don't want to get into that, but yeah. I can admit to letting my child out of his car seat while the car was stuck in traffic....but you go through 6 hours with a screaming one year old and tell me you'd do any differently...sometimes laws are just guidelines |

| I didn't say anyone said they should take Sean away. That's my own personal opinion. She's a bad mother! |
