ROTTERDAM - After more then 3 years of not performing, Britney was back in Holland to give a single concert in the Ahoy stadium. The 22 year old singer performened in front of 10.000 fans.
The american rockgirl Skye Sweetnam, who did the pre show, was blown away by the enterence Britney brought. While fans where screaming out loud, Britney came onstage, singing her first song 'Toxic'.
The concert is part of Britney's Onyx hotel world tour, wich takes place in Europe at the moment. Back in 2000, Britney was here before. Singing to, most of all, young girls.
Yesterday night, these young girls seemed to be gone by now. Most 20 and 30 year old people went to Rotterdam to see Britney live. Not just because of the songs, but more because of the big show Britney gives away. And the males? 'We come to see sex and sweaty woman', according to some of em.
The show didnt seem to match at all with Britney's other and first show ever here, back in November 2000. In four years, Britney went from teenqueen to sexdiva. It went crazy on stage. Only dressed in some lingery, the superstar gave a way a spectaculair show. A mother, who came to the show with her son (15) and daughter (9) thought that this show was 'gone a little too far'.
The american singer let behind almost every old song. She didn sing most songs from her new album 'In the zone', but also a few from her past albums. The fans had to see the show as one spectaculair event, with alot of dancing.
This because britney didnt sang live, wich made some fans disappointed.'The ticket cost me ?47,50. We didnt came her to see britney lypsinc', one of the fans said. Others didnt seem to care about that. 'The show looked so good, so lypsicking doesnt care in my opnion', said another fan. HAve to be said, that the American did sing one song live.
After releasing her selftitled album 'Britney' the singer didnt seem to move musically. After she broke up with ex lover Justin Timberlake, she most of all hitted the news with her partying and new boyfriends. But at the end of 2003, Britney came back with her new cd, which will give her big hits again. Next to that, Britney';s big dream came true: working together with Madonna, when she hit the stage with her at the MTV awards, shocking the world with their kiss.
Tho, after the release of her new album, the media kept writing negative things about her. The kiss with Madonna and the video from her new song 'Everytime' in wich Britney seemed to kill herself, brought again negative things about her. Also her tour seemed to get bad reviews, since people saying its one big sexshow.
