Pop singer Britney Spears has been slammed for her headline-grabbing kiss with Madonna and recent raunchy antics - by her very own father.

Contrary to claims that 51-year-old Jamie was delighted with Britney and Madonna's shocking lip-lock at last month's MTV Video Music Awards, her father is disgusted.

With antics which have included scantily-clad poses in various magazines, admitting to having sex with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake and a sensual stage performance in Las Vegas where she writhed suggestively with her dancers, 22-year-old Britney has done little to impress her dad.

Speaking to the Star, Jamie - recently divorced from Britney's mother Lynne - says of his daughter's same-sex kiss, "She has to live with it but I don't approve of what she did, not one bit.

"I hate the way she's acting lately but I hardly ever see her any more to make my opinion known."

Jamie still lives in Britney's native Kentwood, Louisiana, where many of the residents are equally as unimpressed, with one resident adding, "My husband and I don't even kiss like she did with Madonna."

Do Britney and her father really have a very close relationship? They seem very distant for some reason.

If he thinks that Britney's antics are sad, isn't selling out to the Star of all things a little sad, too? I don't really believe it, but if it's true, it's very sad.

I don't think she's gone to far. Christina (who I am also a fan of) can do worse things, and she can get away with it.

The fact that her dad spoke to the press or whatever about it, isn't in my opinion a very "fatherly" thing to do.

Yeah I do understand him as a father, he has a full right to have his opinion and rants on his daughter after all he raised her and gave her all ethics and all with Lynne, but that he talks to press about this, it's kinda bit stupid from his side, and shows him wanting attention not more not less.

If ppl kept driving by my house at all hours, i would be pissed off too. I honestly can understand why he would do that. He didn't ask to be famous and i don't think it has to do with jealousy.

I'm not surprised considering that Kentwood is part of the webbed-foot area of Louisiana.
