If you were Britney's father, wouldn't you be at least a little bit jealous that your daughter is so close with her mother, and always around her mother, inviting her mother to award shows and such, and leaving you at home to sit there and watch it all happen on TV?
I think he's a little upset that his own daughter is going through so much, and he doesn't get to be there to say "Congratulations", or sit at the edge of her bed and talk to her and that kind of stuff. I dont think he's jealous of the fame at all, I think he's jealous because he isn't as close to his daughter as he should be.
And to be honest, I'm blaming whoever is keeping Britney and her father apart for the way she's acting. If she and her dad were closer, I'm sure he'd have a bit more influence on what Britney does, and she wouldn't do some of the risquee things that she does.
And no, I'm not saying that Britney and her dad aren't close, but they're not as close as they should be. It's quite sad really.
