It's probably a personal thing. I found it somewhat predictable. Jokes aren't near as funny when you know what's coming. Also, I like intelligent jokes. This guy wrote a bunch of things that don't really make much sense, and as a result I find them appearing as failed conversions from bash to joke. In other words, he may be trying too hard.
But what stands out most to me is that when you take a celebrity and pick them apart for a potential joke, you use the stuff that defines the celebrity from everyone else. When you use stuff that half the world is already doing on a daily basis, then the joke in itself is lost in the crowd, if you know what I mean. |

| Jessica Simpson was asked that AFTER Britney was asked. When Britney was asked if she was a virgin, it became a big deal for some reason, then every blonde bubblegum pop bimbo and her mother was asked. So she didnt say that she was gonna wait until marriage just because JESSICA said it, because Britney was out way before Jessica. Not to mention, I never remember Jessica getting praise for it. I don't even remember anyone caring lol |

| Well I remember hearing about it with Jessica first so that's why I think that. And with her, I remember plenty of magazines doing features on her about how she was SUCH a good role model and yadda yadda yadda...anyways. |

| You might be right, but I just remember Jessica comin out after Britney, so it seems right chronologically...and to be praised for staying a virgin...I don't think that has anything to do with being a 'good role model', but, thats a whole nother battle lol |

During that time so many female artists were whoring themselves out on stage and through their songs and then you have Jessica come along whos all like, pure and innocent...it was a breath of fresh air in a way. It gave those girls who didn't like the ways of Britney and Christina someone to feel more identified with. |

Funny." Am I missing something here? | I usually laugh at Britney jokes, but this one just didn't strike me as funny. The way the article was written , it just seemed like they were demonizing her for having sex before marriage, smoking, drinking, stuff a LOT of people do, including myself. So yeah I didn't find it funny. |
