Why's Britney So Blue?
The biggest star on the planet is - lonely?
Britney's friends say she's changed. She doesn't seem to be the talkative, open girl she once was. There's a deep sadness inside her of that's just beginning to show. These days, more and more people are seeing tears in Britney's eyes. So what's up?
Feeling lonely
It's hard to believe that someone so famous could feel so alone, but that's exactly how Britney is feeling right now - especially with Valentine's Day right around the corner. She hasn't had a boyfriend in over a year, since she split with longtime love Justin Timberlake. Britney misses having someone to talk to, someone to share her hopes and dreams with. After all, it's not exactly easy to meet new guys when you are as famous as Britney. A lot of people have made up their minds before she even says "Hello." Britney's fear of getting hurt again also makes it difficult for her to get close to anyone. "I'm not so good with relationships," Britney admits. "It's hard for me to let people in sometimes."
What doesn't kill you...
Although Britney has never felt more alone, she tries to think positively about her situation. "Being myself has really made me strong, and I think hard times make you become a better person.," Britney says. "If everything in life were perfect, that would get monotonous, and I'd be complacent. So I think the best thing for me probably is going through trying times."
Moving on
Britney says she'd like to start dating again, although the thought of opening up to someone new is scary. "Letting yourself go and being vulnerable is hard for some people to think.," Britney says shyly. "But I'm really trying to learn." Until she meets someone special, Brit has her super-close family to lean on and her dancers for companionship. It will have to be enough - for now.
M The real meaning behind "Everytime"
"It's kind of personal," Britney says about "Everytime," a ballad from her new CD that's about a failed relationship. (Hmm - is it about her and Justin?) "I wrote the whole thing from scratch on the piano," Brit says. "It was one of the first songs that I wrote for the album. That song is definitely one of the most meaningful."
So is Britney apologizing to Justin, whom she split with after she reportedly cheated on him with his then friend, Wade Robson? "I think I'll let the song just speak for itself," says Britney. The lyrics certainly
seem telling:
I may have made it rain
Please forgive me.
My weakness caused you pain
And this song's my sorry.
