Probably because her husband has an album to promote (and it's obvious that he needs her support, because people have their heads too far up their ass to give him a decent chance, lol).

Have to agree that she does that.. saying she needs to be left alone and next thing she is all over the magazines with photoshoots that don't do anything but give her attention. But what I ment was that I don't think it is Britney 'not making an effort' just cuz she is not at that award show. Like i said, the girl is VERY pregnant and she isn't nominated. She doesn't have anything to do there (well except for watching Beyonce copy her AMA performance, but that she can watch at home too). It would have been 'not making an effort' if she was nominated and not pregant. Then it would have been weird.

I haven't seen the show, but I believe there where more skits. If so, then I guess MTV made the calls and searched for celebrities who wanted to be a part of it.
