Britney & Justin Back Together Again! | | As Reported By DotMusic....
Justin Timberlake is to revive Britney Spears' flagging pop career by recording a track for her forthcoming album.
According to reports, Timberlake - who was left heartbroken when his four-year relationship with Spears ended in 2002 - has agreed to record a duet with his ex-love later this year.
Both Britney and Justin are signed to US record label Jive, and whilst Britney has enjoyed huge success in her career (her debut LP sold 19 million copies), she suffered relatively poor sales for her last self-titled album.
That, combined with a barrage of bad publicity concerning her personal life, has led to the pop princess falling from grace quite dramatically in recent months.
Conversely, Justin - who shot to fame as part of the boyband 'NSYNC - is the current toast of the pop world with a number one album and a sell-out UK tour under his belt.
"Britney is desperate to kick-start her career," said a source close to Timberlake. "She's had a disastrous year with lots of bad publicity.
"She know she need to win back the fans and reckons Justin is just the person to help her."
The Sun says the pair are scheduled to enter a New York studio together in September, once Justin's upcoming US tour with Christina Aguilera is complete. |
