Default Bodyguards Sue Britney

Minders sue singer Brit
By NADIA BROOKS
Sun Online

BRITNEY Spears is being sued by three of her former bodyguards.

They claim they worked long hours and weren’t paid overtime while working for the Toxic singer.

Her ex-minders Lonnie Jones, Randy Jones and Silas Dukes have filed a lawsuit against three of Britney’s companies - Britney Brands Inc, Britney Touring Inc and Team Tours Inc.

They are seeking damages of up to £20,000 for unpaid wages and benefits, according to their lawyer Daniel Emilio.

Randy Jones and Dukes worked 12 to 16-hour shifts and were required to be on call 24 hours a day during trips with Britney, according to the lawsuit.

Lonnie Jones worked 12-hour shifts, it is claimed.

The trio claim they were only paid a "straight salary", missed meals and didn't receive overtime pay.

They were hired in 2004 but say they were made redundant in November 2005 without receiving a final wage.

Conan O'Brien was talking about this the other day, but I could never find an actual article on it. But yeah, I was wondering why a lot of the body guards' faces were blocked out on the Chaotic DVD (I got it off ebay for 1.70 okay?) haha.

That's no excuse to take advantage of people like that, if this is indeed the case.

Okay, well then they can bitch about being treated like shit...but not for overtime pay. But a salary pay does not go hourly.

We know nothing about their contract, maybe he misused the word "salary" but meaning they were just paid a flat fee, maybe thier contract didn't say salary, maybe it did. Before jumping on their backs, find out the story. Jesus.

They are bitching abou being treated like shit. And even if someone does work on a salary basis, employers should be ethical enough to NOT treat their employees like shit and NOT take advantage of them by having them work hellish hours and having them on call 24/7. That's just wrong no matter how you look at it.
