Congrats to Shakira, whose song after listening to 100000 times I still am not tired of. If I remember, this is Shakira's first US number one single? If that's true, congrats! The hip hop tune that everyone's jammin to is "Ridin'" and is rightfully at #2. It's just alright in my opinion. Nelly Furtado is scoring a huge comback with 'Promiscuous' at #3, which I believe was higher than "I'm Like A Bird" ever reached. Fort Minor's song drops to #6, that is a great song. Rihanna scores a double hitter with the infectious "SOS" dropping to #7 and the crap ballad "Unfaithful" rising to #9. And nobody can stop shaking to Sean Paul's "Temperature" at #10. I'm probably the only one but I think "Dani California" is onw of the worst songs the Red Hot Chili Peppers have ever done.

Dixie Chicks... ROCK ON. 2nd week topping the chart with probably their most critically praised album in a long time. Screw the hicks that hate them. That ever so popular (and tween loved) DCOM High School Musical still hits it off at #2. Phenomenon? Maybe they'll put the next one in the theatres? Carrie Underwood is high again, probably due to late American Idol fever. Angels & Airwaves at #12.. god I hate them. They areb probably the most ego inflated, pretentious band ever. "Our music is amazing" "It's better than anything out there" "The lyrics are god". Give me a break! Their music is so ordinary! And the lyrics so pretentious! I want to smash their music in pieces.

DVD Sales

2 NEW Cheaper By The Dozen 2

6 Big Momma's House 2
7 When A Stranger Calls
8 NEW Transamerica
9 NEW The Boondock Saints: Unrated Special Edition
10 Nanny McPhee (Wide Screen)

The top of the chart is the biggest no-brainer of the year. At #2 comes the sequel to one of the worst movies ever. Transamerica is at #8, which looks worth a rent.
I LOVE "Dani California"! and the cd is awesome... just freakin' awesome :-P

And I'm glad for the Dixie Chicks. But their career is still really hurting. Their ticket sales have dropped and stuff. Y'know, I'm not a huge fan of musicians trying to go all political all the sudden like they know what the hell they are talking about. BUT, if they voice their opinion, they voice it, and I don't think it's right that so many people have turned their backs on them because of a statement that was later apologized for. It just seems kinda lame to me. "Not Ready to Make Nice" is an excellent song. I wish they were coming around here, because they are probably the only artists in the country genre that I would see in concert.

It's funny that their ticket sales are hurting this time around. After they made the comments, they had a sold-out tour. And now they aren't? Doesn't make sense, but I LOVE them anyway!

Maybe I've been under a rock, but I haven't seen much publicity for the Chicks.

You've been under a rock. LOL. They've done a TON of appearances like Good Morning America, and late night shows.

I hate it when American Idol people kill the chart with their cheesy debut single. Looks like Nelly Furtado was shot out of a chance of her first #1 hit, poor her. Rihanna dropped. Against everyone's (EA members) expectations, Christina is shooting up the chart with her lame-o single 'Aint No Other Man'.

20 Toby Keith, White Trash With Money

Busta bust now. He wins the chart after that (how long ago was it) pumpin single with JLo. Dixie Chicks overtake Emo dorks AFI to #2. Looks like people are ashamed to go to their concerts but not ashamed to listen to them privately. I blame Red (states). While Cars underperformed at the box office, its soundtrack is doing well (I hated all the songs in the movie).

Whaat? There was a second Underworld movie? I ran and bought 'Dumbo' caus' I'm a Disney addict, and dissapointed to find crappy bonus features as the release was aimed for babies. Walt Disney would be ashamed. Disney movies appeal to all ages (the good ones) and should have extras for the adult fans too.

And Nelly Furtado just scored her first Number 1 single ever! Congrats to her! And Shockingly, Paris Hilton scored a hit with her craptacular song.

Nelly Furtado reigns supreme again with her infectious single. My new favorite song of this summer is steadily climbing at #30 - Beyonce's "Deja Vu". I think it's her best song since "Crazy In Love". And the video is the best since as well. Beyonce and Jay-Z together can do no wrong. I don't understand what people see in "Unfaithful" by Rihanna, it's one of the worst songs I've ever heard. it's shallow, overdramatic, and a pain to listen to. I think if it was remixed into something, I don't know, like those awesome "Everytime" remixes it would be a good song. Also, have you noticed how most of the top hits are all featuring another artist? Everyone wants to be on everyone's song. I'm just waiting til this trend is going to be exhausted (most probably by Pharell or Snoop Dogg).

Nasty, dirty, NOW claims the top. Radiohead's frontman's solo debut claims the highest debut but has has tepid reviews. Rounding out the top 20 is I think the best new artist in a long time. Corrine Bailey Rae's song "Put Your Records On" is simply brilliant and wonderful and just a joy to listen to. Why do most of the great artists come from the UK nowadays? It's like the 60s all over again.

Beyonce's single is tired now. Radio is cutting play, and sales are dipping. Just in time for the video Ho well. She's done way better songs. Good to see Rihanna and Nelly F. doin' well. <3 their songs. Awesomeness. I don't get the Gnarls Barkley hype. That song makes me wanna drive into a tree. Go Rascals! Didn't even know they were on the BB charts with that song, since Me & My Gang is their actual released single. HipHop in general just needs to die for right now. It's like chill out. Even rock music sounds like rap now. WTF.

And Amar, there are some GREAT remixes to Unfaithful floating around. It's one of those songs to where if you can't relate to it, it's not good. You're too young

Nelly F. reigns queen again. And I have to agree Daneil, that "crazy" song gets on my nerves. It was nice the first time I heard it but then the chorus just gets really really annoying really quick. Gah. I like Cassie's song "Me and You". But it's got my mind boggling, that beep beep beep thing that's sampled in her song I'm trying to figure out which song it was in originally and I can't remember! If someone knows, please tell. Annoyingly, Jessica Simpson and even more annoyingly Paris Hilton have both scored billboard hits. I really hope Paris's song drowns... really soon. KT Tunstall is slowly crawling back up a little. Janet Jackson and Nelly's song looks to be a minor hit but I hate it. And the Rascal Flatts are dropping down fast. Yay. And it looks like Beyonce's song really did flop. But it may go higher, it was just added to Itunes and it's the #1 download.

Something about Paris and Jessica's songs really have me hooked. They're not the best songs in the world by any means, but something about them. YAY for Nelly Furtado. She really deserves this hit. She's got awesome music, but it took this huge hit for people to actually listen to the better material. The rest can all go to hell lol
