It's an extremely ghetto ass word...extremely.

But really, it means "boyfriend/girlfriend." Like you'd call them "baby" or "sweetie" or something.

Honestly, I never liked Billboard. I don't think they represent anything talent wise. The majority of the songs that are at least in the top ten are all pop singles, and generaly sing about the same thing but in a different context. That to me, doesn't show talent. Anyone could write a pop song and have it plastered on MTV if you payed someone enough.

I totally agree with you. I know people like that kind of music and kudos to them for seeing something I OBVIOUSLY don't, but yeah I just don't see hardly anything worth listening to on the charts anymore. Plus you people can argue that something is a certain genre all you want to, but technically pop is anything POPULAR, and judging by the charts those songs are popular amongst some people. Call me crazy all you want, but I don't think a lot of things stay true to the so called "genre" they are representing these days anyway.

*edit to plug the new mos def album* go get it. haha...it's the only thing I see on there that I like.

I so did not just read that

YESSSSSSS. Mos Def is fabulous. So is Talib Kweli...he's just fantastic. Both of them are two of my favorite rappers because they're hip-hop, not just the same old stuff. I plug Talib's album get it. "Beautiful Struggle."
