I remember after I first seeing (and later being raced through Amsterdam in one of them by a taxi driver) the Mercedes with the round front lights, that I wanted to get myself one of those... but that's for sometime in the future - a tad too expensive .

Wouldn't mind the BMW 320 D I drove around in the last week of driving classes either (would have loved to have taken that one on the superhighway!) .

Daydreaming aside, I have my eyes on a used Ford Escort I've seen on the 'net they've got standing around here, but that's subject to change... as my boss recommended me to look for a car with a Diesel HDi engine.

Not primarily. Primarily, the car's going to be used to get my sorry ass from at home and to work - so I don't need to depend on a school bus with odd hours (thanks to which, combined with driver's license classes, I'm quite a few hours in minus ) .

But yeah, for those 'out of house' tasks I'm going to be put on (driving out to locations we've delivered products to and taking snapshots for out references section on our website), he's damn well going to be paying for .

Ah yes. I take it that's why he wants you to get a Diesel. The fuel is cheaper, but the rest isn't.

Unless you get paid a standarized amount of money per km, then it doesn't matter. But if that isn't the case, then a Diesel will cost you more and him less.
