That's cause 666 isn't the real number. They were talking about it on TV here too, people doing prayers and shit cause it was supposed to be the end of times, heh. Talk about wrong interpretations.
Even in accordance with the myth, 666 doesn't mean anything. Members of the Satan crew write all their symbols upside down. The cross and the pentagram, as well as the number. The number symbolizes the freeing of Satan, which happens once every thousand years, on 12-31-x999. And seeing as that has already come and gone with the past millenium, most likely none of us will be around to see the next anyways.
The devil's greatest trick, was convincing man that he doesn't exist. A well known saying. When most people think of the devil they think of a big flamey bastard with a tail and two horns rising up in the sky throwing lava rocks at your house. That would be the South Park version of him, if you catch my drift. It's a form of deception. One of his favorite games. 666 is also deception. If he can fool you into being freaked out about something that doesn't exist, he'll be filling the rest of his day with laughter, if you know what I mean.
