On this forums (Britney Forums Mania), they have statistics of how many ppl were on the forums at once. In 2001 we had a record of 855... they're saying if we should break that record or not. It's gonna be pretty hard.

They want to beat the record of having 855 people on the forums at one time. But, it wont happen, so dont sacrifice the ability to write with your fingers crossed. Its pointless. There's not even 855 members to try and attempt that record, and it wouldn't surprise me if that did something kinda nasty to the server and bandwidth. So, um, I'm happy with what/who we got on a normal day-to-day basis.

Also, this doesn't belong in BSD.

I still don't believe that figure, I can't see there being that many people on the boards at the same time. The most we get today is around 85 when something big happens.

I can see another 800 people on here without it becoming un-usable.

It weren't 855 members, but 855 users + members.

At that time there was both a forum and website. That specific day, the site was down and redirected all visitors to the forums, both users and members. That's the reason why you see that figure.
