Even though Filibuster's thread is fun, and brings back some fun memories, I think that Karen really deserves some heartfelt appreciation.
As you know, she took time off on the board a couple of months back so that she could concentrate on the more important things in her life. She will graduate very soon, and I want to wish her the best of luck with that. I am confident that she will do good.
Before she went on her hiatus from here, she's been an excellent help to me keeping this place running. She's been a great influence in decisions and maintenance, and honestly, I don't think we would still be here if it wasn't for her. Not only that, but she also helped me pay for the board when the license had to be renewed. I really feel that the board is just as much hers, as it is mine. I miss her being around here, and I hope that she will be able to return here soon.
I've had the pleasure of meeting her twice, and I can honestly say that she's the most kind, sweet and caring girl I've ever met. She may have had to make some unpopular decisions around here, as some of you will undoubtly remember, but that just comes with this job. It stands apart from her personality. She's a great person, and a great friend.
With this thread I don't want to start an appreciation-thread-hype, I just want to share with all of you how much Karen's efforts mean to this board, and how much she means to me.
I thank you, for taking the time to read it.
