I think paying more than $25 for any article of clothing is just too rich for my blood.

I LOVE expensive stuff, but unfortunately i can't afford it. I haven't bought any clothes in quite a while now... I've been bathing suit shopping and i'm trying to find the cheapest thing possible, so far i've found some really cute ones at Walmart for $14. I want some new flip flops, $3.50 at Old Navy. It's a shame, 6 months ago i'd toss $100 for a bag or a shirt or whatever. Now i'm flat BROKE (due to a few different circumstances) and i can't even afford groceries. My mom bought me new sneakers, $15 at Walmart.

I don't really enjoy spending loads of money on one piece of clothing.

Once I went shopping with my grandma way back when. We went to this EXPENSIVE store in NYC and I was looking at tops and a tank top was $80.. So I told my grandma we should go somewhere else. And she was was like "nonsense, choose anything.." and she started handing me random pieces of clothing. I ended up with incredibly NORMAL jeans for $210. I wore them once and that was that.

I remember like freshman year i spent $80 on a pair of DKNY jeans cause they were the low kind without the waistband (back when those were really in) and I thought i was so cool because I could afford them and nobody else would spend that much on jeans...I wore them twice.

Therefore I do not buy according to price, i don't even look at pricetags at first. I buy according to taste. If I find a t-shirt that costs 50 cents at GoodWill and I love it, I buy it. If i find a purse for $140 and I love it, I buy it. Don't let prices make decisions for you.

As for the most expensive thing I ever bought, I have no freakin' clue. My pink winter coat was $180...bought i think i've spent more than that before. I dunno.

When you can't afford anything, and you're trying to make ends meet, you let prices make EVERY decision for you.
