They've always bugged me but I think that's just because Lance Armstrong is a tool.

It seems like such a trendwhore item now. There are so many spin offs of it.

I liked them when they had more meaning, rather than a fashion acessory.

I don't care that they're extremely trendy now because I was wearing it before they became what they are now. My school sells blue ones that are really cool <3 and I want one (it goes to Unisef and helps with the tsunami fund and I wanna donate so!). So anyway, I think they're great. If people are spending their $1 on them, even if it is as a fashion accessory, the money's still going to the right place and that's what matters. ...unless you buy them on eBay

Uh yeah there was a thread about this before right?

I'm all for them. It's for a good cause. And yes there are other ones now too, but if it worked for Livestrong, it can work for them and their foundations too. I just don't agree with buying them off eBay for $5-20 or whatever. That isn't helping the cause, THAT is just being trendy. But a lot of people have them because they support the cause so good for them.

It's true that the braclets are for a really good cause, but since they've become so trendy, no one thinks about the cause anymore. They (or a lot of people) don't think, "I'll buy one to help with the ____ organization." They think, "I'll buy one and I'll look cool!"

Oh yeah definitely. I agree with that Stanley. And that annoys me a lot. But there are people out there who aren't like that too and to them, I tip my hat (?)
