Top 10 Jean Trends
You really can't go wrong with jeans. Pair jeans with heels and a romantic shirt and they'll take you on a date. Funk it up with interesting twists on basic denim jeans and you're ready to hit the town. Here are our favorite jean looks:
1) Bootcut
The most versatile and flattering fit, bootcuts (with a leg opening of about 16-18 inches) are a great bet for everyone. Dress them up with stilettos, go casual with sneaks, or pair them with ever-so-stylish boots (opt for a funky kitten-heeled style).
2) Corduroy
Denim is great, but cords are a perfect replacement when you want something a little different. Whether you go with wide- or small-wale, the look is always fresh. Pair them with anything that you'd wear with jeans -- plus denim shirts!
3) Side detail
Similar to the oh-so-chic tuxedo stripe, a side-stripe on jeans is incredibly funky. Not only does the little detail add major style points, but it also makes your legs look ITLmilesITL long.
4) Lowrise
The how-low-can-you-go trend is still going strong. Pull this look off with a funky extra-wide belt and a shirt that shows just a sliver of skin.
5) Stripes
Stripes add a very different twist to plain blue jeans. You can go refined with pinstripes or more laid-back with white-and-denim engineer stripes: just keep the top simple.
6) Military-inspired
Cargo pockets, buckles, and hem drawstrings add a sharp utilitarian vibe to denim; remember to look for zipper details as well. Very edgy.
7) Dark denim
Forget about the over-the-top whiskers and creases of last fall. Sleek, chic dark denim adds a glamorous spin on jeans, which makes them just right for school, but completely appropriate for a night out as well.
8) Slim
For the bad girl in you, skinny jeans are ideal. They're tough, they're racy, and they're very eye-catching. Pair with a feminine top or preppy blazer (and don't forget pumps!)
9) Trousers
Menswear-inspired trousers are fabulous this fall but in denim (versus wool or tweed), these masculine-style pants are much more wearable.
10) Skirts
Whether you opt for a racy mini or polished pencil, denim skirts are a great alternative to jeans - and for good reason too, since they're just as versatile. Also keep your eyes open for cargo details and pleated styles.

I don't know about the pinstripes and trousers. Maybe they just ran out of options for two of the numbers
