Gwen Stefani has refused to pose for the cover of US Marie Claire magazine.

Stefani was invited to be photographed alongside her co-stars Cate Blanchett and Kate Beckinsale from upcoming movie "The Aviator".

The New York Post reports that she declined the shoot fearing "it would ruin her 'street cred' as a musician."

That doesnt make any sense, why would Marie Claire ruin her "street cred" as a musician? She's posed for beauty magazines before.

Edit: And if its because its for the movie, I find that even harder to believe. If she was THAT worried about the movie press ruining her "street cred" as a musician, she wouldnt have taken the role.

I don't care WHAT Gwen does, she'll never loose my respect or her "street cred" in my book. She is one amazingly talented person

She's really talented and she always seemed to me as a really cool person.. makes this really hard to believe, she seems so sweet... but whatever, I'm sure she has her reasons!
